Watch for Kingston to make a move for experienced gritty forward that can play tough guy to replace Cull. They now realize that some of their young guys will need a sheriff around to make sure no one takes any liberties...
For what it's worth..Nevins has skated in 2 games this season and is still recovering from a hip flexor injury he sustained in exhibition. Could keep him on the shelf more oft than not this season. Shame too because he was the one new Knight I was looking forward to seeing the most when they acquired him.
Sounds like Guelph has acquired defenseman Brock Buekeboom. No word yet on what went the other way. But I think it's a solid move for Guelph.
Edit: Tony Saxon (Storm's beat writer) reports that a 2nd, 4th and 6th round picks are going the other way. Years not mentioned, but what is mentioned is that none of the picks originally belonged to Guelph.
I had been wondering the same thing. He looked really good last Sunday against the Gennies.
He`s been there best player so far this season, Quine back in the lineup tonight. The Gens might have their hands full tonight and tomorrow vs. Guelph.

Agreed. They're def in tough tonight and tomorrow but I'm thinking we can beat Kingston Sunday night at home after being off Saturday night. Three games in three nights killed the Gennies last year.
They just felt that with the forward returning there was no need for Menard. They let him go play near his hometown for his final OHL season and got some solid picks in return.
Now using picks to acquire Beukeboom. GM Mike Kelly put it as "Essentially it works out to a Menard-Beukeboom swap, and our needs on D were much greater then at forward"
I agree that Menard is a great OHL player, I loved him here in Guelph. But looking at the goals scored this season by the team, it has not hurt them. Getting this upgrade on the backend with the picks is huge though (As long as Beukeboom can stay healthy)

I think tomorrow night will be an absolutely fantastic game. It seems on paper that both teams will have there hands full.
I just hope Sparks can put last Sunday behind him. Hopefully the team can get over the issues of not having Garlent, Watling and Pedan in the lineup either. Tyler Bertuzzi may be added to the list of missing players as well, as he missed today's practice. No word yet on him missing game action though.
All in all, fans that tune in to Sportsnet should be in for a good one.

Well it seems that both teams have a lot of injuries (suspensions)(Laughton) it should be a really tight game. I say 3-2 Gens in regulation.
Any rumors on who would be going the other way? Just picks?
I never got specifics of the deal, if I find out I'll let you know. I've heard a bunch of rumours, but none of them have come to fruition so take it with a grain of salt.
There have been some proposed trades and rejections from GM's, so who knows really.

He should be on the move sooner rather than later.
