I don't think 35 years old is considered "in his prime".
Vancouver. Luongo is still elite and they have a backup that could possibly take over that same elite goalie.

This should really be a two-horse race. From today, Price and Quick look like they will be the two best goalies in the league in 3-5 years, both in the thick of their prime.
"We have multiple goalie prospects" is a poor argument for this. Subban will not be in the NHL in 3 years, and I seriously doubt he'll be among the top goalies in 5. Goalie is a one-man position. Whoever has the best man wins this poll.

Rask, Schnieder, Bernier - that's the next level (you can argue whose the best but that's the next tier imo)

Well in 5 yrs Rinne and Lundqvist will be 34-35 on there backside of prime while Price and Quick will be in their prime.
Also i never claimed thet Rask was anywheres near Price or Quick....yet. I said after those two i like Rask next.

Goaltending is impossible to tell because one guy dictates so much. We're talking about 5 years, who knows who will pop up in that time.
In 2004 nobody knew who Henrik Lundqvist was. 5 years later was 2009, he was already top 3 in the world at that point.
Lundqvist is the reason I voted NYR. Him & the backup that year are impressive because he makes it so.
He's got a good body of work & is only 30. I can easily see him as the best or near for a lot more years.
Somehow the best goalie in the league always seems to play for a division rival. (Previously it was Brodeur)
I dislike the team but admire their goalie.
Lehtonen now (a top 10 goalie) locked up for 6 years. Bachman could be a starter one day and is a solid 15-30 game backup regardless. And then Campbell has elite potential (he's still got it no matter what critics of his say). Besko and Nihlstrop likely won't ever amount to anything, but still could be decent backups.
As for most set, it'll probably be some obscure team no one guessed. I'll take a wild shot and say Tampa. Lindback, Tokarski, and Vasilevski all look pretty solid, and I think they'll end up being one of the better teams in net in 3-5 years.

you said "no one comes close after these three" but the gap between Rask and Price/Quick is quite large especially when compared to the gap between Rask and Schnieder/Bernier. Although its obvious that you're not implying that Rask is as good as Price or Quick, you associated him with them rather than goalies of equal caliber.
Habs /LA. Price and Quick will battle it out for the #1 spot for yrs to come.
Bruins come in next with Rask. No one else really close to these three.
Currently, Schneider is every bit as good as Rask and has the potential to be a Vezina candidate for years to come. Not to mention, the Canucks have a very strong prospect, in Eddie Lack, that could force a situation like the current Luongo/Schneider predicament. And Rinne and Lundqvist will likely remain dominant goaltenders for the next 5-7 years.
Vancouver, New York, and Nashville are definitely in the discussion.
Surprised I'm the first one to vote for St. Louis, Halak and Elliott have alot of years left and they have prospect in the system.
Yep, we should be set for the future, both our guys right now are still young and with Allen and Binnington, among others in the pipeline our goaltending future looks bright. Will it be the best? I have no idea.
I wouldn't say it's the Ducks but they sure are up there.

Wow Minnesota is quite underrated here. In 5 years, Kuemper, Gustafsson, or Hackett will be in the NHL and people will be wondering how they missed picking them.
