First Peoria game I've seen this season, since they are showing it live on ESPN here in the UK.

Peluso has made it 1-1, taken advantage of one of our very few chances. Allen has had a good game, aside from giving up the puck in the corner a few minutes ago, which wasn't punished.

And just after I post, Grachev scores!

Nesbitt makes it 3-1. It is amazing, after that Grachev goal it has been a completely different team on the ice and creating plenty of quality chances.

...And Schwartz makes it 4-1. Pass from Hensick on a 2-on-1 breakaway for a tap-in.

Great 3rd period for the Rivs. Haven't seen that often. Need to repeat for games Sat and Sun also.

1st period wasn't too exciting. Wolves had the better chances.

2nd was all Wolves from the the start. Goal was on a horrible give-away. Ponich and Shields were hemmed in and either Shields or McRae had the give-away at the blue line for an easy 2-on-1 Wolves goal.

3rd was the Rivs period obviously.

Overall shots were pretty even but Chicago had 3 post shots and 2 of those were near empty net chances.

Again I'll say Schwartz was the best player out there. He played 1st line with Hensick and Nesbitt. He just has that high hockey IQ and had some great passes. I thought his defense was solid too. That line did get caught in their own zone for some long shifts. Not much muscle on that line. Hensick needs to win a faceoff once in awhile too.

Tough game for McRae coming back after missing the opener. Looked like he was trying to do too much. Shattock was really hustling out there, perhaps some motivation to stay. Murray had a good game also, winning puck battles, tough on the boards etc.

Jake has now been a star of the game in 3 straight. Expecting McKenna to get the start Sat. night.

Rivs played 7 D with most minutes going to Cole/Chorney and Fairchild/Ford. All 4 were pretty solid...Cole with the hit of the game again.

I seriously did not see Wannstrom play the 1st period or most of the 2nd, but he was out there a ton in the 3rd. Provided some energy out there.

Andronov and Cundari were scratches. Wouldn't read too much into that as Rivs are playing 3 games in 3 days. Barriball and SDR still on IR.

Attendance was poor, just under 4K. Although Okla. City had only 3K and they have RNH, Eberle, Paajarvi, and Schultz playing in town.

Oklahoma City also has about ten times the population that Peoria has, 400K vs. 40K or thereabouts...

Lol, why is it so low? I mean in some canadian village it would be two (or even three) times higher. Especially with such players in the roster.

I haven't been able to watch the games, so I would like some insight into Phil McRae's game thus far. Is he playing as poorly as the score sheet indicates: 0 points in 4 games and a -4?

McRae could go from prospect to suspect this season. Hope he picks it up.

Maybe my expectations of him have been a little too high, but I've thought that McRae has looked like a career AHL'er for a while now.

It's Oklahoma City. It's thousands of miles away from Edmonton, and it is in the southern portion of the United States, where hockey is not even a consideration. Football and Basketball own Oklahoma.

EDIT: You may have to DL the app to get the stream to work. The quality is good.

He's trying to "play through" a nagging back issue. Doctors in St. Louis told him he's gotta play through the pain. I'm no doctor, but that doesn't sound like great advice.

What do you know. Ian Cole taking a stupid penalty. I'm sorry I know a lot of you like Cole but I just don't see it in him.

It might be an issue that surgery can't fix. I played lacrosse with someone who had a back injury, but there surgery really wouldn't have done anything for him.

Like someone else said, no one cares about hockey in Oklahoma.

Anyone know what's wrong with Peoria's offense? A lot of players are horrible stat lines. I would've thought Hensick and Schwartz would be scoring more at a minimum.

Rivs found a way to lose tonight. Blew a 2 goal lead in the span of 2 minutes, then lost in the shootout with Schwartz getting the only goal.
