Do you mean Wellwood? And why would the Flyers want him? Do we really need more centers?

Giroux and a 2nd could get them no problem if that helps you

Buff in Philly is a bad idea, cheesesteaks are way too tempting.

Kyle Wellwood AND Buff? Thats a lot of body fat that Philly has to send back. I don't know if the planes could handle it.

I'd say one of Voracek, Simmonds, or dare I say B. Schenn could be reasonable targets.

Byfgulien isn't perfect. But he has tons of size, puts up points, and can log big minutes. He can be inconsistent defensively, but if we were talking about a true franchise D, then Philly would have to be giving up quite a bit more.

I'd be willing to entertain a trade centering on Buff and B. Schenn. However, I'm not as big of a Buff fan as a lot of other Jets posters. Buff will give you big time offense from the back end, just make sure you pair him with someone really good at defending against oddd man rushes comming the other way.

Kyle Westwood holds too much value to Winnipeg right now.

As a Pens fan i would love to see Dustin Buff in Philly. Crosby and Malkin always have a field day with his terrible defensive play.

Buff? No interest, really, but even if I was, how does his contract fit on the Flyers?

This a hard one to place a value on, because it seems so non-sensical for the Flyers. Certainly they wouldn't give up B. Schenn or Couturier. I guess it would have to be a defenseman + Matt Read +, but that does nothing for the Jets.

It would probably take something like Simmonds (1.75, goes to 3.975 next year) & Grossman (3.5).
Buff's hit is 5.2 & Wellwood has 1 year left @ 2.55 after which he's UFA.
So after this year the $s are fairly close.

The Jets would benefit by upgrading to Simmonds but there isn't a real upside for the Flyers as Buff isn't that #1 D that's our big need.

I heard Wellwood will have a monster season because of all the work he put in this offseason with a strict training regimen of cheeseburgers and lard shakes

Westwood was my favorite Yul Brenner movie.
Much better than Futurewood.
