Is it like this throughout the duration of the season? Or just early/first half of the season?
Past 4 seasons there has always been 1-2 outsiders. (East - Vitjaz, West 1-2 financially unstable teams). Others are battling for the last 1-2 spots till the end.
This season Vitjazfrom east ain't fighting, so it will be interesting.
Hoping for the best. Especially to meet SKA in playoff.
Upsetting their allstar (at least for khl) roster another time would be hilarious.

Hopefully next upset is without Kovy cause he'll be back playing here!
Yeah they were like 10-2-1 for a while when he first came I think? I think there's only been one game so far where Kovalchuk did not register a single point.
Which is impressive in its own right. You don't see point streaks like that often in the NHL.
I thought they were only allowed 3 NHL players? Kovy, Bob and Tarasenko
They used a hole in KHL rules.
While Tarasenko is only 20 yo, he was moved to SKA's youth team "SKA-1946" freeing one spot for an NHL player.
But being in SKA structure Tarasenko is eligible to play for the main team.
I'm actually pretty happy about this. We need a fresh Kovy if the season does eventually start. He will have the most wear, and tear on the team cause he's been playing since September. Only Zidlicky will have played more games since Volch was injured, and Clarkie played like 5 games only.
Isn't that kind of odd that he didn't get selected? Or is it for younger players mostly?
If there is no NHL season and all the star are available for the world tournament its pretty obvious kovalchuk is going to play so they usually let a few of the "veterans" sit. It is the same with the swedish team, Zetterberg said no to play saying it was better for the youngsters to get a chance.
SKA wins today 4-1 over Dinamo MN. First game back from KHL break. I can't find the scorecard for it though cause the KHL's site is acting very strange, and messed up today.
Alright found the box score. Site is still weird though, and not how I remember it from before the break. No points for Kovy today. Though he did go 1 for 1 on faceoffs! Haha!
