Djoos and Forsberg made the Swedish U20 team for a 4-nations tournament in November. Forsberg is a lock for the WJC team but it looks like Djoos also survived the first cuts. Right now there seems to be 10 defencemen in the mix (the guys on this roster + Brodin (AHL), Klefbom (Injury) and H.Lindholm (AHL)), 4 or 5 of them are locks. His chances will increase if the lockout ends.
Noticed that as well. Certainly very early in the season to get excited about such things, especially when 3 of his 5 points came in one game. But it's a good start, especially for a 6th rounder.

Just curious: of the 6 other defensemen on the roster, which 1 or 2 do you believe to be "locks"?
Mikael Wikstrand (OTT) is definitely a lock. He he is a top-pairing defenceman in Allsvenskan, putting up big numbers and plays with Tom Nilsson (TOR) regularly. Nilsson should also be a lock for that reason, he has also been good this season but not great. Then there is really a toss-up between the other five, many believe that Byström will be selected but he is not getting a lot of icetime this year. Djoos is getting more icetime than any other junior D in the SEL except for Klefbom and the coach seem to like him.
Djoos injured his knee in practice yesterday, apparently he had surgery today. Doesn't sound very good.
Any insiders' information that makes you say "doesn't sound very good"? Obviously surgery isn't good in the short term, but I haven't seen anything about recovery time or injury severity in the local paper or in local reporters/official Brynas twitter.

Somewhat surprised to see surgery take place so soon after an injury to a knee. At the very least they usually want the swelling to subside as well as to have a few medical opinions obtained before they determine the proper course of action.

That's not bad, having same numbers as Dumba and having advantage over Thrower, Reinhart, Severson and Siemens.
Also very encouraged by his +3 and 29 penalty minutes (five fights). Looking like a pretty well-rounded D-man at 6'4", 225-lbs. Decent 7th-round pick, at least. I think he's AHL-eligible next year....??
Any word on Tom Wilson's status? It doesn't look like he's played in a while and I hadn't heard if he was injured or suspended?
Broke a knuckle or a few around October 25. He was picked to play for the OHL Team in the second Subway Series game against the Russia juniors on November 12. Will be interesting to see if he's fit in time.
Anyone have details on the Chandler Stevenson injury? I just saw a blurb in a Pats gameday writeup saying he'll be out an extended period of time. Nothing on the nature of the injury though or how "extended" extended will be.

D'Amico was the first to fall - three days before the start of the regular season - due to a freak incident when his right foot was stepped on in practice, resulting in a severed tendon. Incredibly, Stephenson had the same thing happen to his left foot during a game on Oct. 19. D'Amico isn't expected back before the latter stages of this month while Stephenson is out until early December.
Riley Barber with goal and an assist as Miami leads 3-1 over Northern Michigan after 2 periods.
---------------------
Barber ended the game with three points. He leads all freshmen in points and points per game now, leads all drafted players in points.
@TSNBobMcKenzie: Early in the game, very early in career, but Plymouth's Tom Wilson, WSH 1st rder, showing all signs of being beast. #bighits #shotblocks
