Apparently Mark McGwire is on the verge of heading to LA to be the Dodgers hitting coach.

Apparently he has family in Orange County... Although I'm not sure why LA would even want him as their hitting coach.

Rays extended a qualifying offer to BJ Upton, so cross him off the list. Cubs aren't giving up a 1st round pick to sign him.

never been much of a fan of either upton, they've both been pretty overrated for a long time IMO.

that said, I'd take justin over bj 10 times out of 10.

i guess I lied. There is one scenario where I take bj. If your team is playing a playoff series against the white sox.

I would still be in favor of taking a run at Justin Upton, although it's not realistic in any world.

He has been praised by baseball people for his performance as hitting coach and won a WS as a hitting coach

Dodgers need all the help they can get

Dodgers need to not just throw money at their problems.

between the dodgers and angels, the city of LA spent like 250mil on baseball and didn't play a single playoff game.

I love it. **** all LA teams.

i have no idea how anyone can like the lakers. Kobe is one of the most unlikable athletes alive.

I did like them when they had shaq before kobe was the "black mamba" though.

Trout is awesome, but **** the Lakers. Do you just front-run when rooting for basketball teams or something?

The Bulls?

Ok, I like Nash and begrudgingly respect Kobe, but man do I loathe Howard. He is the definition of a puerile insufferable ******.

Bulls should start the year 4-0, pretty easy schedule to begin.

They had a plan, it just sucked.

Also Otis Smith is an imbecile, which didn't help matters. That being said, the way Howard has conducted himself is nothing short of ridiculous. For as much flak as Lebron gets for the decision at least he didn't let all of the crap filter in during his last season with the Cavs like Howard did with the Magic.

He also suffered in silence for like 4-5 seasons as the gm built questionable team and van gundy came up with a real questionable scheme of basically using howard as a decoy to free up a bunch of overpaid streaky shooters.
