It took me three minutes to determine that the cheapest ticket in Tampa last season was $17.75. Are you done being ignorant now?
I noticed one for $11 on a Saturday night. Most expensive was $250 (on the same night). MISC has a point though, small(er) markets sell tickets for cheap(er) in order to qualify for revenue sharing. One of the stipulations is selling out ~80% of your home games. I won't argue that Tampa is one of those teams because I haven't done my research - he still has a point though

Allow me. Tampa Bay has accepted revenue sharing exactly once in their 20 year history.
I wonder what its gonna look like, sounds HUGEEEE , almost TOO BIG.
Although a good canadian boy like isn't likely to end up in the st.pete times forum
Under an ownership that has nothing to do with the Lightning anymore or this scoreboard.
I'm well aware, it wasn't meant as a dig. The other poster was making it seem like the Lightning have sucked up revenue sharing for years. The OK Hockey clowns had no idea how to run a franchise and did their best to run this one into the ground. We're extremely fortunate that Vinik showed up when he did.
The small screens the Panthers have at Bank Atlantic Center are so pathetic. It's like watching a standard def tv from 1979. Totally pointless to even look at it.
It appears that the Toyota Center, where the NBA team Houston Rockets and AHL team Houston Aeros play, is unveiling a massive scoreboard similar to the Lightning's new one this weekend. It will be 8 feet wider than Tampa's at 58 feet wide and 5 feet shorter at 25 feet tall while the 2 side panels will be 25 feet by 25 feet.
^ Looks like there's gonna be a new trend. Plenty of arenas have just installed new HD scoreboards, but they are gonna look outdated with this trend of Cowboys-style jumbotrons. That "ring" underneath the screens is no longer considered new.
BTW, why don't they install the new scoreboard at MSG already?
If Vinik wants a tax write off he can donate the current scoreboard to the Panthers. The lightning's current one is a thousand times better than the one we have.
Hahaha Tampa, lame. Expect nothing else though. First they attempt to copy the Leafs jerseys now they copy the Cowboys big screen. Maybe that owner who looks like a orange and his obese son should attempt some brainstorming of their own.
I wasn't aware that the Leafs had a copyright on the color blue. He'll if anything they copied the Wings jerseys. Just look at the bright side, when the Lightning make the playoffs, you can squint and pretend its the Leafs.
The rest of your post is beyond ignorant, so there's that..
For the record, for people clammoring about the sides of it. The side screens are the same size as the old jumbotron. So they aren't getting a worse view. They just don't get the awesome side view. Lucky for me, my season tickets are center ice. If only there was hockey being played....
Wildfan, I asked you this in the past and you didn't answer. Are those screens not in HD? Maybe they are, they just aren't as big as the screens in other arenas.
