You are seriously like a broken record just repeating the same commentary over and over again. We get it, you think Bryz is garbage. Well, I hate to break it to you, but he's a Flyer for the foreseeable future barring some extremely unlikely event (death, broken contract, amnesty clause).

I still maintain that if we can make it to the Finals with Michael Leighton, we can win a Cup with Bryzgalov. Unfortunately, he may never be the "asset" his contract indicates he should be. No reason to keep crying about that, however. Move on, deal with the consequences, or just stop following the team. Not much else can be said about it.

I was really hoping he would show something in Russia, perhaps be renewed. It looks like more of the same.

We don't have Richards, Carter, Gagne, Powe, Lappy, Betts or Carcillo up front, no Pronger on the back end. You really think this team with so many one way players is going to help this sieve of a goalie? Until this team addresses all of the defensive issues from the forwards to the defense, there will be no cup. The only good news is with the lockout we lose a year of Bryz and hopefully see the last of Leighton, too

No start for Bryz this time, either. I really wonder what CSKA's mentality in regards to goalies is, though. Do they have it in the back of their minds that they should at some point play Bryz just because they acquired him from the NHL, or are they completely determined to just ride the hottest goalie at the moment? Anyway, judging by the highlights, Stana wasn't as sharp today as he normally is, but he got the job done. Still, maybe Bryz gets the start on Wednesday.

Bryz was a back up tonight, played about 10 minutes in relief and saved 2/3.
CSKA allowed 5 goals (1 EN) in the third period having built a 3-0 lead after 2 periods.

Bryz played for 59 minutes in 6:2 win over Amur. His stats are: 20/21 with 95.24 save %.

Let's see if he can string two good games together instead of crashing and burning.

Interestingly, Rinne's stats in Russia are almost as bad as Bryz's. The fans there do not understand why Rinne was considered one of the best keepers here.

You know that Eng sign at the top right? It's shorthand for "English", i.e. it's a link to the English website Unfortunately no highlights, though.

C'mon now, Rinne is a good goalie.

As an aside, has ANY goalie done well over in Europe this lockout? I only can think of 3 off the top of my head (Pavelec, Rinne, Bryz) whom have been subpar.

The problem is that Rinne hasn't sucked here recently but Bryz has.

Iliya Bryzgalov: You have been writing filth about me.

Iliya Bryzgalov: You have been writing filth about me.

As reported by Sportbox.ru

Philadelphia Flyers goalkeeper Iliya Bryzgalov, who is currently playing for the CSKA, refused an interview after 6-2 victory over “Amur”

IB: What do you want me to say? You have been writing filth about me and now you are asking for an interview! Look around; there are so many good players. You can communicate with them, why me? In reality my, wife Zhenya forbade me from giving interviews and so did my parents. If you call them in Tolyatti and they give you their permission, then I might do it. Do you think I am joking? No. I am not joking in this case. I am telling the truth.

Q: At least share your impressions about the game.

IB: What impression are you talking about? I did not work hard. Even my uniform is dry. You can touch it yourself just to make sure.

Yeah, I know it's just 9 games, but judging from the highlights I've seen he's a beast in the net. I know highlights don't nearly tell the whole story, though.

The keepers that succeed in the KHL are the un-orthodox flexible ones. Hence Varly and Bob being successful and Rinne and Bryz looking out of place.
