I take that back, Calgary is down by contact.

That roughing call was horrid though.

That's crazy. JC with back to back tackles to get the record with under 50 seconds left. Calgary driving.... what a crazy last minute.

Shaw should never kick in the final minutes ever again.

How many games has this team lost against Calgary on last second FG's.

Retarded. Oh well, at least Sherritt got the record. And Nichols looked great.

I find it hilarious how every decision and instinct our head coach makes seems to be the wrong one.

Ironically it could be the best wrong decision possible as the road to the centennial grey cup might be easier through the east.

Smart time out Kavis.

JC - youre a beast
Fred Stamps - beauty game
Nichols - thanks for reinstating my hope for the eskimos future.

I don't think there was conclusive evidence from what was shown that the pass was incomplete nor was the player down by contact. Additionally, icing the kicker is the dumbest strategy in football. They need to own up and take care of business. Playing indoors will be nice and cozy for the rest of the playoffs at least, but this team has no pride.

what??? No pride? Give me a break pal.
We just found our identity in week 19. No pride?? Maybe dumb, unlucky or even undisciplined at times. But no pride? I dont buy it.

...meanwhile back in Toronto, Ray is smiling and licking his chops on facing this sad-sack team

the Stamps drove the ball downfield with their THIRD STRINGER and tore us apart

that and they have a kicking team

Whoever dreamed up of that philosophy and convinced head coaches that this was ever a good idea? This must be an example of the big lie theory, where you repeat a lie over and over again until people accept it as truth even though what you say is still a lie.

That being said, I'd much rather play Calgary or BC in the Grey Cup than lose in the Western playoffs, although of course we do have to get by Montreal (assuming we can win next week), another task that seems to be next to impossible to do for us.

Congrats to JC Sherritt!

The result next week depends on who plays QB. Nichols wins, Joseph loses.

Oh FFS, coaching cost us another game. What is that, 5? 6? This season.

Luckily we're in the playoffs already thanks to Hamilton's ineptness, but Jesus, Kavis looks so much worse this season. Does not look like the same person at all.

I don't see how Kavis could justify Joseph over Nichols next week. Weather it's Calgary or Toronto, Nichols is the guy we want. He had a few hiccups, but gave us the best chance to win.

Boyd looked better than Messam for the most part, so if Charles can't go last week, give Boyd the ball.

D looked ok, we kept collapsing the pocket a number of times but then couldn't finish. Also our secondary needs to tighten up but so far so good.

Hopefully Sherritt isn't hurt.

FFS Kavis Reed.

Agreed, Shaw didn't have a chance on that last FG. Nichols botched it.

The earlier miss from 38(IIRC) is a little strange given his ability to hit from 40+ yards out pretty consistently. Strange that.

oh you mean the 3rd stringer who threw a pick on his first pass only to get a mulligan on a bogus call? Yeah, he was very impressive in gaining about 40 yards in 90 seconds. Big deal.

The point is, once again we gave up a big early lead before getting into the game (something we cant have happen in the playoffs). My point about finding our identity was in reference to letting Nichols finally play a complete game. After the 20-3 lead we for some reason always like to spot teams, we owned the stamps 24-10 and that was only due in part to a last second kick and a fairly lucky td pass.

This may have been our best 3 quarters of football all year. The team moved the ball and the D was frustrating the stamps and shut down cornish. From the 2nd quarter on we played a strong game.

Do you disagree with my assessment??

No pride. They don't get fired up. This team hasn't scored a single point off of an opening possession this YEAR. They showed no intensity early at home, essentially in a playoff scenario. The most fired up they looked was when JC got his record, and it seemed they all forgot that they just gave up a first down with 40 seconds left? Also, how many delay of game or procedure calls have we taken all year? They need to get on that field and just play with some pride.

I'd love to see if this team has found it's identity. I really would. We will have to wait and see next week. I think Nichols has to start and this whole team has to start well, setting the tone for the whole game. They've got to smack Toronto right in the mouth in Toronto, but I don't know if they've got what it takes to do so. I will probably be driving down to watch the game.

Oh and the other unfortunately fun fact of the evening is that this is our sixth loss by three or fewer points.
