This is honestly the best game Sarnia game I've watched all year. Very exciting and tense.

So close to getting his first hattrick this season (and second OHL hattrick) for the 3rd time this year.

No ENG hat trick.

Sarnia wins.

Hopefully Plymouth gets the highlights up on their site ASAP.

7-4 win for Sarnia! The most exciting game I've watched them play this year. Galchenyuk finished with 2 goals and 2 assists. He played on a line with Moore and Sarault.

Galchenyuk started out the game on a good note with a nice little tip pass in the neutral zone. On his first shift he forechecked hard and started shooting. He set the tone right away. He had a chance from in close but just barely missed the net, however it was on a bad angle. Galchenyuk's first goal came from him creating space with his incredible hands and then unleashing his wrist shot from in close. A very very nice goal. By that time he already had fired 5 shots. The following shift he had a pass on the PP, but it wasn't converted. He was involved in a few scrums as well. On the PK he made a nice little spin pass his own zone to Sarault to kill time. Near the end he was continuing to forecheck hard and played the body very often. His first assist came off of a nasty toedrag around the defender and then a pass to Sarault who scored. In the second, Galchenyuk was a bit quieter offensively. Sarnia was pinned in their own zone for almost half the period. He made a handful a good defensive plays over that time, including tying up someone who was driving the net, clearing the puck, and winning virtually every puck battle. However, he did have a bad turnover behind the net that almost led to a goal. Galchenyuk's second goal came off a very similar play where he deked around through the defender and buried a nice shot. He got a substantial amount of PK as well. Galchenyuk started out the third excellently. He was forechecking very aggressively and created a ton of chances. He had an absolute rocket of a shot on net, but the accuracy wasn't quiet there as it went right at the goalie. He showed some great hands on the PP and also stole the puck after he lost it. Galchenyuk did have a stupid flip pass through the neutral zone that eventually led to a goal, however he was not on the ice at the time of the goal. He was set up beautiful to bury the hattrick, but fanned on his shot. Near the end of the third, when Plymouth was pressuring hard, Galchenyuk had a beautiful cross ice feed to Boucher who scored.

Overall, it was his best performance this year in my mind. Galchenyuk had a fantastic night on the score sheet. However, I thought his best work tonight was in his own zone. He was matched against Noesen and Rakell, and did a great job containing them. He was shadowing Rakell all night and did a really great job. Rakell had his chances, but for the most part couldn't get anything going. Just a very impressive effort in his own end. I thought he was great offensively too, he had a ton of chances. He also played a very chippy game as he was frequently involved in scrums and played very aggressive. Galchenyuk played with a ton of fire tonight, it was great bounce back effort after a rough game.
________________

-Sarault and Moore were very good tonight. They seemed to have a ton of chemistry with Galchenyuk and created their fair share of chances.
-Nickolas Latta played his best game all in my opinion. He was all over the ice and had many chances. He was money on the draw tonight too.
-Connor Murphy put together another solid performance. He's really starting to pick his play up after an extended period of bad play.
-Goldobin had a great game. He's had a marked improvement in his decision making. He's shooting at the right times and passing at the right times. He has absolutely incredible hands too.
-Aleardi played was solid tonight. He potted two goals and never gave up. He was the spark that start the Plymouth attempted comeback at the end.
-Ryan Hartman played another strong game. He's so strong on the puck and opens up a ton of space with the way he protects the puck.
-Noesen had his moments. It wasn't his best game and he wasn't the pest that he normally is. He seemed very fatigued.

Alex Galchenyuk (MTL) with a dominant night vs Plymouth; 2G, 2A. Video evidence here: http://*******/RyEhM8

if you wanna follow me on twitter (https://twitter.com/antontibaldi), i'll be doing these prospect videos (all teams) on a semi-consistent basis when prospects have big nights/score highlight reel goals/whatever. i'll have them up much faster than the official AHL/CHL sites (usually the night of or morning after).

You are a beast, thanks.

The 1st goal is the type of goal he scored a lot of in his rookie season.

You can see that he has great vision, excellent stickhandling, good passer and a good shot.

Thanks a lot! His hands, wrister, vision....just great....First assist, awesome move. Second assist, what a vision on 2 passes he made, and the goals showing his quick wrister. By the way, I'm a new Twitter friend as of today.
