Opps, yeah. Willing to give up Stastny + prospects for a top 3 guy who can log a lot of minutes and maybe chip in offensively. ( Edler, Hamhuis, Alzner, Campbell etc.)

Hejda - O'Byrne
O'Brien - Hunwick
Zanon

Wilson and O'Brien switch sometimes. Hunwick and Zanon will likely switch sometimes.

Combine that with Elliott, Barrie and Gaunce in the AHL knocking on the door.

We only need a top pairing defender to combine with EJ. And we will need to move 1-2, maybe even 3 defenders as soon as next season.

Based on this, you need someone to replace Wilson on the top line more than anything. Just try the Stastny for Phaneuf thing I keep hearing about. Personally I feel Phaneuf is better for his position, but its not far off value-wise.

I don't think Hunwick would play over Zanon. Zanon's a small top 5 shotblocker in the NHL, now who wouldn't want that on their team? Avs are still missing a #1 defenseman. I wouldn't say EJ is fully a #1, but he's a solid #2.

EJ does fine in the role he plays. We just need someone who is capable of playing alongside him.
