I think Ward's tweet was in reference to ***************, not about Ward's sources

So at this point they've been meeting for what, five hours?

If they come out of this thing and we still don't have a deal by December...

Rob Rossi is one of the few guys who isn't truthworthy. I'm not calling out a source, but being a Pens fan and seeing his work, I'd put him on Eklund's level.

Talks and meetings are good. I just can't believe we are where we are. I understood the last one, but not this one.

This is something major. These guys aren't meeting on a Saturday night and trading cupcake recipes.

What this tells me is that Daly and Steve Fehr should be leading negotiations; unlike D Fehr and Gary, they appear to be able to have a productive, mature labor discussion.

I think the meeting lasted ten minutes and Fehr/Daly slipped out the back door and the media is still staking out an empty office

I'd prefer if they don't personally. It would probably mean they are actually on to something and would rather focus on that than simply pandering to the media some more.

That's true, but it's so painful to not know what's going on.

If their jobs were reversed, it would be Gary and Don sitting in a room for five hours. It's simply the nature of the job.

And let's be honest here: Daly has cast way more aspertions, done way more media wrangling throughout this thing than Bettman has.

We'll hear typical banalities about "progress being made" and vague plans to meet in the next few days.

Best thing we can hear is that a conference call with the players has been called.

Well...if the next CBA last for 6 years......Bettman will then be 66 years old and D.Fehr will be at 70 years old......not sure they will both take care of bussiness for very long...

Daly and S. Fehr might just be next in lign....

I'm starting to think the interns planted cardboard cutouts of Daly and S. Fehr in some random conference room, and some random guy with binoculars is like "Yep, they're still there."

Way more. Probably close to 8-9 hours since it started somewhere in the afternoon in the East.

Wasn't it reported that as of 4 pm EST, they haven't met yet?

Haven't heard anything new on Daly-Steve Fehr meeting since my last tweet. Further update from me, if there is one, likely to come in a.m.

Lawyers are used to do all nighters and regularly pull 90h + a week.

They better take a break so clear their heads though.

About time they have a long meeting. NBA and NFL had 10-15 hour meetings regularly.

"Secret Affehrs ..." reminded me of the Agatha Christie "The Mysterious Affair at Styles".

So taking Fugu's suggestions as well.....
