Yes EJ has potential to be #1, but we don't know exactly. Wilson has potential to be a #2 as well... And there's no way I'd give away Stazz. He's the Avs best center. Get rid of him or Duchene then Avs C would look thin.
And yeah I'd take a gander at Carle and Suter before signing Zanon... Oh well. I guess he was just a replacement for Hejda's injury.

Yes, I am exaggerating, but seriously...? I would not even give you a 3rd for Ballard. We don't need more #4/5/6 guys. Especially not ones earning 4.2m a year.

SOB takes a beating from you guys since we re-signed him but it's unwarranted in my opinion.
People seem to forget he played a solid 60 games for us last season.
It wasn't until Genius Joe Sacco (I'm trying it out) started playing him as a top pairing guy with EJ, that the wheels came off, he started thinking he was Bobby Orr and we started paying for it on a nightly basis with horribly costly mistakes. If Sacco had limited his minutes as a #4-6 guy instead, he would have been fine. Ideally, he's our #5 guy and that's the kind of role he can realistically succeed in.
Why, just because he doesn't put up as much offensive numbers as he used to? Vancouver never gives him a chance. He's always been on the 3rd pairing if I'm not mistaken. Either way, without the offensive numbers he's still a good shutdown guy. But saying Quincey is better than Ballard is pure madness.
