The seconds usually do the writing. So there's that. Not that I have any idea what's going on. I should just shut up because the last time the league and the PA met for this long my team got fined a ****ton of money and lost draft picks.

I love that it took until early November for both sides to just get in a room for 10+ hours.

This.

Disappointing, but I'll forgive if they iron out a deal soon.

The good news is that even when Steve and Bill take over Gary and David have promised to come out of retirement every 7 years to fight the good fight!! I can just see it 20 years from now betsy and fehrzy (they get the honorary hockey slang names by then) will be doing battle in their wheelchairs like Rowdy Burns and Cole Trickle In the emergency ward of the hospital.

Ok I know the lack of hockey is affecting me when I start quoting bad Tom Cruise Movie's

It's due to the cold weather outside. They need to stay warm with no revenue coming in to pay for heat

Because Gary and Don aren't present this time!!

If they can iron some new proposal based on linkage, then I hope their bosses get canned right away.

Glad to see them putting in the long hours.

One would assume this will lead to significant progress.

Well Fehr DID say that if they agreed, it would take 6 hours to bang out a full deal... maybe this is it.

Probably been discussed, but if ownership is going to cover the make whole stuff that probably is another sign of expansion coming. The expansion fees can be used as a fund to cover the make whole cost as the expansion fee would be basically found money.

The timing of the make whole payments seems to councide with likely expanskon to Quebec and Toronto.

There aren't enough relocation and expansion markets, and I just cant see expansion without the inclusion of relocation for faulty franchises at the same time because...
1) Columbus is NOT getting moved with that monster of an arena lease they have
2) Phoenix needs to go SOMEWHERE...
3) Neither Quebec, nor Seattle, nor Hamilton/Markham will be ready for a team for at least 2 years
4) We still have no info about Conference Realignment

On the plus side:
a) We know the Islanders will begin making money with the move to Barclays, we know that.

I still think Pheonix should move to another small market area in the North East. I don't live close to Hartford, but throw some renovations in the XL Center and bring a team there for 10 years... Seriously, you'll get a fanbase much better than Phoenix.

but what about the other teams that are still in the red?

What about Seattle not being ready until 2015?

What about Conference Realignment?

I have too many damn questions and no more answers!
Let's wait until we get the details of what happened or is happening in this meeting. *Please announce lockout ended*

Anyone know what time the meeting started? I saw Dan Rosen mention around 3:30ish that they hadn't began yet but I couldn't imagine it would start much later than that.

It's hard not to get excited about this. A marathon meeting on a Saturday night with very few details getting out. They have finally gotten serious and it's cause of Steve Fehr and Daly, they actually get somewhere.

Wrap this up. We can see the finish line. If anything came out tomorrow or Monday that is in any way negative than all hell will break loose.

Meet until a deal is done or something can be taken to a vote.

The NBA and NFL both did this last year and it worked well for them. It's proven to be successful.

Supposedly the meeting got started sometime between 4 and 5. So we're talking seven hours easily.

Also, unless I missed it I haven't seen anything stating the meeting ended. Is it actually still going on at 1 am?
