Strangely I like what sub said but GMs in real life do go out and make trades when they lose superstar players. They don't trade for another superstar guy but they trade for some sort of depth guy or a guy who is good but just not as good as the guy who got injured.

I'd say an example of this would've been the Hawks getting Brendan Morrison to replace Toews last year. Morrison was obviously much worse, but that's what they traded for him.
I'll post it here for now since I don't know the new Phoenix GM's contact info, but Tampa has a game to play against Phoenix, so let me know when you can get a game in.
Has anyone heard from Nashville lately? ive been trying to schedule our game, but he hasnt responded to my PM, and also his CPU isnt enabled so i wont be able to play him if he doesnt respond!
I understand if hes busy with school or wtv, but he can atleast enable the CPU so the games dont have to get simmed! (Just like the last sim period where it wasn't enabled and it got simmed)
nashville says he cannot play until tomorrow at 10pm est.. and he has CPU disabled.
also did he accept the trade sending Aulie back?
Oh didn't see you write this loll Fuss would u be able to temporarily boot him so we can play his CPU? I already lost 1 game and got a guy injured cause the game got simmed last period
No, 30 is right. If it were any less we'd be having way to many trades during the season.. players get injured.. GMs should be building their teams to accommodate injuries with depth players. Yeah it sucks, but injuries happen.. everyone has to deal with them.
EDIT: For the record.. I dont even really like the "Injury Trade" to begin with. Realistically what teams IRL have gone out and made a trade because their player was injured? I can't really think of an instance where this happened.. I could be wrong though, but I think generally GMs use this as an opportunity to give some younger guys a chance.
I agree with this 100%. Like Sub, I don't even think there should be an injury trade either.
For people that do team reports, just a thought of something you could do instead.
This is just my own opinion, not sure the leagues and not sure about a majority.
Instead of doing a team night report, what about a "Power Rankings" ranking all 30 teams with a few sentences about each team, how they have done lately and how they are doing overall. Not to be a dick but I could care less about what is going on strictly within your organization, what's going on and what's going on in the future. Something ranking all the teams involves everyones team and could be an interesting read.
Especially since i added the Offseason Move i think i might get rid of Injury Trades all together. Thats potentially 4 trades in one season. Too many.
Honestly, I'd be ok with you removing the deadline trade too. With 1 trade during the year and 1 trade in the offseason it puts much more emphasis on the offseason and people may be more picky with just one trade during the year instead of making trades just for the sake of trading.
Ok. If you've missed whats happened since Friday, here's what i'm doing...
DNF vs CPU: GMs, myself included, have been quitting games against the CPU. Its cheating. There's no other way to put it. Its not going to be a part of our league anymore. I've temporarily booted a lot of you from the league to reset your DNF vs CPU back to 0%. I still have to kick out
From now on, your DNF vs CPU is never allowed to be higher than 0%. If this happens, you'll be given 1 warning. After that warning, i'll kick you from the league again, resetting your DNF vs CPU back to 0%. If it goes above 0% again, you lose the privilege to play CPU games for the rest of the season. If your DNF vs CPU goes above 0% at any point after that, you'll lose the ability to play CPU games for as long as your in The Bluth Company.

How would the rest of the league feel about me getting rid of the Regular Season Move and the Injury Trade?
In effect, we'd have one Offseason Move and one Trade Deadline Move. 4 Trades in one season is not at all what i planned for this league when i first made it. I want trades to be a meaningful thing to GMs, not some quick fix or something to do just because you can.
If any changes are made, it would be the removal of the Regular Season and Injury trades.
