Man I cannot wait for April when Jensen can come over after AIK is knocked out and we can see the starting line-up of:

Jensen - Schroeder - Kassian
Connauton - Tanev
Lack

For the Wolves.

I've given up on this season and personally look forward to the chance at a high pick in this crazy draft.

I'd assume there'd be another lockout draft lottery.

So they just randomly select names out of a hat, theres no other rules like the cup winner can't be chosen to pick 1st? I dont recall how it went the last lockout, i think i was mad just like i am this year and didn't really pay attention to what was going on during the lockout so I didn't pay attention to the draft that year

or is it done the same way the lottery picks are done, and they base the percentages on the standings of the last year played so we wouldn't have a good chance but there would still be a chance of us getting higher than normal

Last time it was a system based on playoff appearances and 1st overall picks, teams had 1 to 3 balls in the draft lottery based on this. You can take a look through this thread to see how it might work out, and how it did last time.

that would never happen. Bettmen wouldn't allow it. All top picks will go to struggling American markets.

The thing with this draft, is that I'd be just as happy with the 12th pick as the 4th, hahahah.

Outside of the big 3, MacKinnon, Jones and Barkov (who could all be 1st overall picks), the top 15 is full of awesome propsects with guys like Elias Lindholm (A player who's doing as well as Jensen in the SEL at 17), Rasmus Ristolainen (A 6'3 Finnish right handed D-man who I think would complement Edler extremely well), Sean Monahan (Toews 2.0), Curtis Lazar (Think a mix of Shane Doan and Kesler), Jonathan Drouin (Insane skill in a smallish package), Valeri Nichushkin (6'4 Russian Centerman with excellent skill) and there's still more.

I love this draft, and I haven't even gotten into the Frederik Gauthier's or the Adam Erne's.

Phoenix would end up with Nathan MacKinnon.

If this lock out takes out the whole season, all the American markets are going to struggle.

Even the strong ones like NYR, Detroit, Chicago and Boston are going to struggle with a fan base that will not accept the compelling issues that drove the 2003/04 lockout.

IMHO, there are going to be repercussions far beyond what the NHL saw last time.

Ah what the hell ... Just give Edmonton the first overall! They need it since they will move to Seattle anyway! #bettmanthinking

Edmonton will get Jones and Phoenix will get MacKinnon.

Could you imagine?

Hall - RNH - Eberle
Schultz - Jones

Interesting, though, that the Wolves still managed to pot 6 goals against Rockford, though that could also be a product of their poor defensive play. Tomorrow's game against a high-scoring team in the Checkers should be an interesting one, though the Wolves could get burned if they don't shore up their D-zone play.

any place that does live updates? I can't watch or listen to the game but would still love to read about it in real time.

The Wolves TV crew is having difficulties, so they're not even on TV in Chicago right now.

Hopefully I'll be able to see a stream in the next 10 minutes or so, or I'm going to opt to play some Assassin's Creed.

There's a radio feed on the AHL live site. It's really grainy though.

Sounds like Connauton is having a good defensive game.
