Why is it a pipe dream?

I wonder how good Oregon offense shifts to the NFL?

Barkley was solid today in a game where he had to be. His D just couldn't make a stop.

A QB who somewhat caught my eye today was Bo Wallace against UGA. Not flashy numbers(but game got away from Ole miss) but hers a bigger dude, can run, scramble and keep plays alive with his feet and set and throw. He's got a strong arm. Not sure what year he is though.

Combined, the Sabres, Hamister and Benderson projects could add 419 hotel rooms to the downtown inventory of 1,796 rooms, which represents 19.6 percent of the total 9,163 in Erie County, according to data by Smith Travel Research of Nashville.
From this article http://www.bizjournals.com/buffalo/p....html?page=all

This article explains the requirements to make a bid(not win a bid mind you) for the Super Bowl. At least 19,000 hotel rooms that require three- or four-night minimum stays, including rooms for both teams and NFL personnel.

http://www.humankinetics.com/excerpt...n-a-mega-event

Buffalo would need almost double the current capacity to even make a bid for the Super Bowl. What you suggest would barely make a dent in that requirement. So no, Buffalo is lightyears away from even qualifying to make a bid to host the Super Bowl. And even if they did, they'd have the cold weather stigma to overcome(not just for the game being outdoors) in winning said bid. A new convention center and/or stadium with a few ice rinks and hotel simply aren't enough. To say Buffalo hosting a Super Bowl someday is a pipedream would be an insult to pipedreams.

Cities like Miami and San Diego are even being left out of the bid winning process because of their aging stadiums. The competition to host the game is outrageous. Jacksonville's hosting of the game was considered a failure by most in the industry.

I just hope they keep it within 7-10 points. Just don't get blown out. Show some heart. I'll be happy.

That was among the longest periods of time I've seen it take for a team to punt the ball away

Oh look...Wannstedt brings the blitz and they get a holding penalty out of it!

If only he'd send the pressure more often...

I saw in the Rochester paper that Gailey was pushing Wannstadt to add more blitzes to the base defense during the bye week.

Hopefully the secondary can hold up.

These announcers are brutal.

Also, Williams vs. Johnson = 6 points at least once or twice today.

Schaub right now has not shown he can throw under pressure. Every time he has been rushed his throw has been off-target. That will make life easier on the secondary.

Plus a sack now too.

Yeah that might have been the reason they don't do it more often. Not as easy to run when the defense is stacking the line to try to stop it.

Dunno if it would have mattered on that play, but I'd rather see Jackson in on 3rd and short.

Here comes the Texans first TD.

Their defensive line is sick. No wonder they let mario walk.

That was the exact same play they opened the drive on.

I don't think I've ever seen another NFL team bite quite that hard on playaction twice in a row

Play action = wide open Daniels...the coverage on the receivers moving to the left was ok, but they just forgot about the TE.

Apparently Ruvell Martin

Hopefully he'll be back soon, but now would be an excellent time for TJ Graham to step up.

Wow these commentators are bad. That was not a knee to his thigh. His foot got caught up in the turf pretty clearly..
