At one time, a lot of the Prep Schools here in Newengland had outdoor rinks. Some would frame around them with staging pipes, then cover that with canvas fabric, like that used by the military for their tents. Some would build a permanent roof over the ice and leave the sides open. Parents paid $35,000 + a year for their kid's to have the privilege of going there. Now most have spent millions building "sport complexes". Gordon College had a rink completely open and you had to dress in a shed. They were a D III Program. Now the rink and team are long gone. If they build it will they come? I to add that quote

Was a fisheye lens used or is the rink in Williamsport really shaped like a peanut?

Yeah... she played in a few AAHL games back in 08-09 for Evansville posting a GAA of 4.99 and a SV% of .829... this is nothing more than a publicity stunt.

I am sure the 500 fans in attendance at the Dashers home opener were just hoping the chick goalie played.

I hope to make a Dashers game around the holidays again.

Fans please note that your first place Demonz will be on the road tomorrow night to take on the Williamsport Outlaws. Both games this weekend vs. Cape Cod have been postponed to a later date.

This is from the Dayton Demonz facebook page. It also has a message from a fan that says the Blue Fins are trying to move to Lewiston, ME.
