Yay. The one player that needs experience and lockout ice time is getting it. Just remembered Gabbys rehab last night as I was Falling asleep, side note I suppose

poster on the KHL board. He has been right about a lot of these signings, so i believe it might be true. He also was the first i saw that said anything about Zucc going to Metallurg.

is richie playing anywhere yet? even like a local place? i'd hate for him to be taking the season off. he's getting up there in the years

i'd kinda hope the reason he's delaying is to go somewhere with gaborik (i can dream, right?) to get some chemistry work done

Looks like the Stepan rumor is true.

David Pagnotta ‏@TheFourthPeriod
More from overseas: Slovan Bratislava (KHL club) is in talks with Rangers forward Derek Stepan.

Good first game of Del Zotto today, despite the defeat. Was on the ice with Spezza, imagine when he gets used to the bigger rink, those two guys can rock togheter. For our fourth goal they gave already the assists.
In the interview after the game he said, that he will need some time to learn how hockey's gonna be played here, but with every game he will make progress, he said also that here in Switzerland all players are very good skaters and that the fans were phantastic tonight.

And also when it's hard to write about it, horrible game last night in Lugano. Not from Del Zotto itself, but from the whole team. MDZ seemed to be a little bit tired, but that's normal after a transatlantic flight and in the second game in 24 hours.

Hope its gonna be better after the National Team break. Now they need to find new lines and automatisms. Next game is scheduled 16th November.

Ouch, that sounded like a rough one. At least DZ looked pretty good (from what I saw) in the first game. Really want to see what he and Spezza can do together.

Oh yes it was ****ing tough, the break‘s now just at the right time for us, they need to train seriously these days.
Del Zottos game on Friday was really ok., was surprised how good he played due to all this circumstances (transatlantic flight, time difference, bigger rink, almost no training here on the ice with the team), and he seemed to be very motivated, fought for every Puck (see in the highlights an example prior our first goal), had a good overwiev and acted also physical. He talked often with Spezza on the bench or on the ice, believe he told him alot about the character oft he game here. At the end of the game it seemed also that Jason explained him how the players practice here to go to the fans to thank them for the support, it’s nice to see, though Spezza‘s already here for a while he still has very much fun doing this, laughing all the time. Think this is something very special for the NHL guys to face directly after every game with the die hard Fans, no matter if it was a won or a lost game

Now it depends on how it’s gonna be along with the Lockout, if the NHL Season starts in December there’ll be not much further games they gonna play here, but we‘ll see. For us would be very exciting to see how Spezza and Del Zotto playing togheter.

Other highlights with more focus on MDZ from the Friday game (Saturday game I ignore, not in the mood to search the high…aww lowlights for this game, as far there’s not much to see but mistakes from my team…) including Interview at the end, maybe you understand behind the german translation the things he answered.

Thanks Poolshark! Very, very cool of you to give us hockey-less Americans a true Swiss fans perspective. I Enjoy the Swiss league a lot more than I enjoy the KHL, I just wish that Step and McD would have signed is Switzerland as well. As far as the off-ice work that DZ and Spezza are going to put in together over this break, that is really something to watch out for. I could see Spezza teaching DZ a whole lot. Lets go Lakers!!!

It's a pleasure! Hope I can make your time waiting for NHL to start a little bit easier. This situation is a pity....although it's nice to see some very good players out of your league now here live in my country.
We'll see, thats the least what we can give back, that the players learn something here at least from each others, keep being in shape and make some important experiences.

Hagelin hurt worse than originally thought?

Ugh.

Quote:
At Expressen, Mattias Ek writes that SSK is concerned with how hurt Carl Hagelin’s shoulder is and that it may be worse than they originally thought.

Hagelin went to see a shoulder specialist and that the Rangers may get involved as they are worried about Hagelin.

He underwent an MRI on Friday and is waiting for the results.

Ughhh, classic NYR right here, an amazing young kid, showing HUGE signs of progression, gets hurt while there's no NHL. Not surprised at all, really loving this lock out!

Any updates on Hagelin? It's well into the hockey day over in Sweden.

He's such an important piece to this puzzle. Teams have to change their gameplan because of him. One of the most fun Rangers to watch.

When the official Nash trade was announced my first reaction was thank goodness they kept Hagelin.

Here's hoping this is a case of no news is good news and it's just a deep bruise or sprain.

according to a reporter at Södertälje's local news paper, none of Södertälje's injured player will play in Södertälje's next game on Tuesday next week.

No specific info about Hagelin.

More info will be posted on http://lt.se/sport according to the reporter.
