I know I'll be in the minority, but 'chasing' someone for an autograph when they don't seem to want to give you one seems really odd. No-one is required to stop and interact with the fans. Sure it's nice, but these guys get paid to play hockey, not socialise. Yes it's the fans who provide the funds which pay their salaries, but that doesn't mean the players have to be at their beck and call. If Krieder never stops to talk to a fan or sign an autograph it doesn't make him a bad person.
Nope. I agree with you. The kid had a bad night. Might've gotten himself a good A$$ chewing on top of that, sooo........give him some room and let him breathe.
The kid is a great prospect, like no doubt about it.
Just look at how he moves this season. Last season, he had some things, but just wasn't at that level were he stood out.
This year? I mean, a player like Zach Parise wasn't skating much better at the same age. Seriously.
Then someone like Zach Paise took another huge step before he turn pro, so I wouldn't say that Horak is destined for greatness, or even the NHL. He have a lot of work left. But the kid is contending for sure. Got dammit, you gotta love it.

I think Horak is a weird player to predict. He is playing well, he has speed, size, and skill, and he seems like a pretty smart player.
All that being said, he's an unheralded 5th round pick from the Czech Republic, and despite being the best Czech skater in his draft year, the exceedingly small amount of first line talent produced by that system over the course of the past 10-12 years makes me weary.
Hehe, its a great plesant suprise to see someone like Horak. I mean, he isn't that great. Had we drafted him 10th overall I would have been "blah". But had we drafted him 35th overall Id been very excited. He looks like say a avg 20-25th overall pick in a draft.
In terms of being negative/positive -- I think it all comes down to what expectations you have on a player.
You can really love a prospect, but it will sound like you hate him if other loves him more.
There are quite a few teams in the AHL this season that are A LOT more experienced and skilled than this Whale team. The difference is that the Whale have no players from the Rangers playing for them. All of the Rangers young players are playing overseas. Makes for a large discrepancy in talent.
