Yes it's the fans who provide the funds which pay their salaries, but that doesn't mean the players have to be at their beck and call. If Krieder never stops to talk to a fan or sign an autograph it doesn't make him a bad person.
Nope. I agree with you. The kid had a bad night. Might've gotten himself a good A$$ chewing on top of that, sooo........give him some room and let him breathe.

I am often called out for being negative about prospects, so in this case I want to point out that I really liked Horak.

That kid Horak is good.

I haven't seen him enough, but I don't think you can rule out that he have some real potential. He is like miles above guys like Skokan and co. Will be interesting to follow him for a while for sure.

Development is all that matters for a prospect, you can be drafted 10th overall or 30th overall or 330th overall, its how much you develop from teh age of 18-21 that really sets most kids faith...

The kid is a great prospect, like no doubt about it.

Just look at how he moves this season. Last season, he had some things, but just wasn't at that level were he stood out.

This year? I mean, a player like Zach Parise wasn't skating much better at the same age. Seriously.

Then someone like Zach Paise took another huge step before he turn pro, so I wouldn't say that Horak is destined for greatness, or even the NHL. He have a lot of work left. But the kid is contending for sure. Got dammit, you gotta love it.

I think Horak is a weird player to predict. He is playing well, he has speed, size, and skill, and he seems like a pretty smart player.

All that being said, he's an unheralded 5th round pick from the Czech Republic, and despite being the best Czech skater in his draft year, the exceedingly small amount of first line talent produced by that system over the course of the past 10-12 years makes me weary.
Hehe, its a great plesant suprise to see someone like Horak. I mean, he isn't that great. Had we drafted him 10th overall I would have been "blah". But had we drafted him 35th overall Id been very excited. He looks like say a avg 20-25th overall pick in a draft.

In terms of being negative/positive -- I think it all comes down to what expectations you have on a player.

You can really love a prospect, but it will sound like you hate him if other loves him more.

The thrive for five tonight! (yes that was very corny )

Playing a very, very tough team so its going to be tough, if the Whale play like they did on Friday, this one will be ugly.

The game is supposed to be streamed here: http://www.thefirstrow.eu/watch/1511...cut-whale.html

I guess we'll have to wait until gametime to see if it works.

I'm not watching the games, but in reading others' comments and looking at the box scores (and, heck, simply looking at the roster) it's PAINFULLY clear that the Whale needs help on D.

Tim Erixon destroying us. No surprise here.

Like father like son (that is, the Rangers are the father, the Whale are the son).

It would be nice if the goalies could make a save, 6 goals against on 20 shots is a complete joke.

That backup goalie we have is just terrible, and i mean terrible. .862 save percentage, and almost a 5 GAA. Jesus.

Atkinson hasnt played that many NHL games. But either way pretty embarassing. They should look around for another goalie

If they hadn't just won four in a row I'd agree. Just a really bad night. Was not too much fun to be at this game. Springfield's team will change a lot if the lockout ends, though, that's for sure.

JAM is so sick btw.

As an AHL player, sure. None of them are sure things as NHL players. Bourque is a bust though.

Anyway, no sense crying over spilled milk. JAM didn't want to sign here, so what can you do?

There are quite a few teams in the AHL this season that are A LOT more experienced and skilled than this Whale team. The difference is that the Whale have no players from the Rangers playing for them. All of the Rangers young players are playing overseas. Makes for a large discrepancy in talent.
