Just saw a guy buy a Parise for 76k and put him back up for 70k. lol wtf
Was it a bidding war? The guy might've been trying to driving up the price on his own card only to have the other buyer back out and ended up buying his own card

No, the original was 76900/76950 with a bid on it.
Doing a Ps3 trading day. I've heard people request this, though i'm iffy on how much participation there will be. Decided to give it a shot. Listed below are the players involved. I appreciate every offer I get, even troll trades. Visually makes me feel better about myself.
All guys put up for 24 hours, team name JenNettles. Priced at 29950 or 30k BIN.

Got SOTW Karlsson for 350k BIN, re-sold for 600k. I'll say it again, anyone with SOTW Zetterberg, PM me.
Also, here's something I posted on the EA Forums, I think it's a pretty important subject and would like to get it out to as many people as possible.
DON'T BE FOOLED BY PEOPLE WHO INFLATE PRICES WITH SECONDARY ACCOUNTS
I'm on Xbox. I'm sure those of you also on Xbox have noticed guys who seem to have endless SOTWs and Legends for sale. And they put them up for like 800k or something ridiculous.
What they do, is they take someone, and they put them up for a ridiculous price, say like SOTW Hossa or something, a card where maybe there's only 1 or 2, or even 0 others on the market at the time. They put them up for 699,950 starting price, and a 700k BIN. They leave it up for half an hour, and then they go on their other account, and bid 699,950, to give the illusion like this card is worth it.
If you click on the card, they'll often have like 6 owners and 0 games played, because all it is is the guy buying it on his other account, transferring it to his main, and then going and putting it back up again, rinse and repeat.
All I'm saying is, don't fall for these guys' tricks. I don't mean tricks as in they're cheating or anything, they're not cheating. I mean don't be duped into false market prices. It's a dead giveaway when someone bids on something with half an hour left, when they could just BIN it for 50 pucks more.
It's one thing to corner the market and just like buy up all the SOTW Hossas or something, and then set your own prices on them. But then to go and put fake bids on them, that's stupid.
Edit: I see it's not only the SOTWs, just a few posts above this are posts of people talking about people doing this very thing.

Benn - Spezza(A) - Alfredsson (All performing well)
J. Staal - E. Staal - P. Kane (E. Staal and Kane are beasts)
Eriksson - Tavares - Iginla(C) (Iggy and Tavares are doing well)
Baertschi - Marchand - Doan(A)
Bouwmeester - Wisniewski
B. Campbell - E. Johnson (Both are doing great for me)
Pronger - B. Seabrook
That was me, I discarded him for the 45 puck profit, didn't even want him in my trade pile. The less Canucks on here the better.
... Well played. Well played. Forgiven, and +1 respect. I'd have taken the 2k profit, but living in vancouver makes me appreciate destroying Canucks in any way it happens.

lol I was just rustling jimmies, it wasn't me. I like your style, though.
So playoffs have come an gone now.. jus wondering how everyone did..??
i blew chunks.. made it the amatuer final twice.. and got smoked both times..
Man there are some stacked teams ion those tournys, an mines no slouch either..
i wondering how it works with being knocked out?.. seems like i had 3 chances at the playoffs..?.. is that right?
3 for Tier III, 2 for Tier II and 1 for Tier I.
And I agree if your playoff sentiments. I had a good team and got blown out a couple games by people using stacked teams and scoring game-goals rather than hockey-goals. If that terminology makes sense at all.
I got bored with NHL 13 after the playoffs, might just play the market some for the foreseeable future until market values die down and I can build a top-down solid roster which actually competes with these star-studded ones.
It's not fair that I have to shoot 40 shots to get 2 goals and they score back-back-back with simple wrist shots because SOTW Nash + SOTW Spezza + SOTW Iginla are so ridiculously good that my goalie cowers instead of stops the puck. Goalie consistency is pretty rough, it's few and far between a goalie will let in back-back-back goals yet it seems every 3rd or 4th game I get that.
Hey guys. New to this thread. I'm on Xbox and I have a N.Backstrom (player not goalie) , Louis Eriksson set to Anaheim and 90 overall nugent-Hopkins set to Calgary. Serious inquiries only and just message to my hf account.

this game has serious AI problems. and glitch goal issues. i faced a guy in the playoffs who did nothing but take slapshots FROM THE GOAL LINE. and guess what? he scored like 4 goals this way. i didn't realize that taking a slap shot from the goal line at the side of the goalie worked 80% of the time in hockey.
every year with EA they take one step forward and two steps back. and these issues are glaring. hell, people figured out a handful of exploit goals within a few hours of the demo being released, and those glitch goals are STILL in the game.
i also love when goalies come out of their crease to challenge a shooter on a breakaway and then go into a butterfly or just fall back on their ass 4 feet out of the crease, and then the guy has a completely open net to shoot into. at least 2-3 times a game i find myself in utter disbelief at the decision making of the AI. another good one is when your last man back on defense will randomly decide to take a run at the opponent's puck carrier instead of, you know, staying back and playing defense. "i see a 3 on 1 developing. i know, bum rush the puck carrier in the neutral zone leaving no man back!"
my other personal favorite is the center ice tie up off the faceoff where the winger comes in and takes the puck. if the winger is fast enough (havlat comes to mind) they can pick up the puck and get a breakaway almost every time as the AI defensemen usually just stand flat footed as the guy skates by. so annoying.
How do you guys get so many SOTW players? I dont have a single one and I have a stacked team. Do you ever play the game or just play the auction house?
