I'm not necessarily talking about the .1%, which is greatly affected by simple chance/environment (I do not think such a situation exists for those kinds of individuals to come up)...I am talking about the top 5% or the top 10%.
Talking about the top 5 or 10 percent, maybe... that's to say, the whole population of the pro, major junior, junior A/B, college hockey and major senior ranks culled from the general population of hockey players. Safe to say those numbers have increased greatly over the years.
The guys who make it into threads like this are, no exaggeration, more like the top 0.0001 percent of hockey players. True geniuses, which tend to be distributed at random.
