<--- Proudly been on the Ponder Hatewagon since day 1

The sooner the Vikings organization realizes they made a tremendous blunder in drafting him the better off the franchise will be. Sad that they're going to, in all likelihood, waste exceptional careers like Peterson and Harvin on this bum.

what the F is wrong with ponder? he played perfectly fine the first...four/five games, and has all of a sudden started sucking hardcore. It can't be all the OL.

yeah sure your defence gives SEATTLE 30 points, but if your qb is throwing for sixty yards on thirty attempts you're not gonna win a damn thing

I'm sorry I ever thought he could be not horrible and may even be mediocre.

Can't JUST blame Ponder. Peterson didn't even reach 200 yards today. They are in the same boat.

Dude's gotta pick it up, averaging 5.1 YPC this year? That's not even a first down.

I heard Tebow is available. Probably an upgrade at this point.

Yes the D didn't play well... but they're on the field all damn game long. Vikings offense needs to get them a break.

Been a big Ponder supporter... but i'm starting to fall off the bandwagon...

I watched the OL pretty closely, and from what I can see they had some breakdowns, yes. Now there wasn't a particular player who was routinely breaking down. Kalil missed a tackle here, Johnson a couple, Loadholt, Sullivan...occasionally guys get through.

But a lot of times he wasn't getting hammered and had time, he'd flat out miss his throw. I mean, third week in a row that he threw over Harvin's head on a screen pass behind the line of scrimmage? And any time he throws down field he's off by 10 yards. He doesn't seem to have the arm strength and/or can't put the ball where he wants it.

I think the big thing is that because Ponder can't throw and AP is so friggin amazing, the linebackers are coming way up and blitzing all the time. That just makes it worse. I think that's the big difference between now and the beginning of the year. Essentially the opposing team completely gives up the long ball because they know there's no way Ponder or his receivers will connect.

But I'm not a football mind, just a guess.

And yeah, TP was way ahead of the curve on this one.

Also, I think Frazier's decision are questionable at best. That he didn't try to get down the field and use his timeouts before the end of the first half to give Walsh a chance (he later hit a 55 yarder)...why? Why?

I nearly flipped over the table I was sitting at when I watched him get drafted. I absolutely hated the pick and he has done nothing to prove me wrong.

Vikings order of issues and it's hard to keep it to 5.
1. Ponder
2. Musgrave
3. Frazier/puppet d-coordinator
4. Offensive line
5. Defense (all of them).
They're just regressing to the mean, I predicted 6-10 before the season starts and couldn't be more comfortable sticking with that prediction.

The entire coaching staff and Ponder will be gone by years end.

I thought they had turned the corner against the 49ers, and I think it's turning out to be more of a fluke. I'm not ashamed to say that Ponder could have been a good quarterback but he was put in a impossible position. He wasn't going to be Luck but he could have been a solid starting QB. We kind of ruined him and that goes on the GM/Head Coach.

The stages I went through with Ponder:

When we drafted him thought he was a major reach and dumb move by Spielman.

After his first couple games I figured he might actually work out and be pretty good.

He started sucking halfway through last year, I figured eh hes a rookie hes shown he will get it back together.

Started off this year strong and think he will be above average(thinking you don't need long passes when short stuff works well).

Past 3-4 games he sucks no idea what happened, can't hit 5 yard passes.

I don't know what to think anymore.
But at least we won that Redskins game last year right?

I refuse to believe receivers never get open, I just don't think he finds them.
He throws his deep balls before the WR can get 5 yards off the line and just lofts them up there(makes his mind up 100% before the snap).

Still like him better than Joe Webb though.

P.S. Frazier reminds me of Todd Richards with his I'll have to check the tape BS.

Matt Flynn lost his job to a rookie. He may be better than Ponder but I doubt it's by much

On the plus side, if Ponder is the starter the rest of the year, they might get a legit head coach and OC next year.

Nah no point trading for Flynn. I'd rather just ride ponder out for the rest of this year. If he continues sucking I'd draft another QB in a late round, if he stills sucks in '13 draft another first round qb.

Gophers trying to become bowl eligible today.

Will be interesting to see how Phillip Nelson handles the wind. Kicking should be interesting as well.

the best part about pondermanina is when you think to last year, we tried so hard for those "character wins" we all love in minnesota that Peterson got hurt, we lost a draft pick

not saying RG3 would have looked good in a Viking uni buuuuuuuuuut
