Coverage of Alfie in Cornwall tonight

Don Brennan is texting coverage in the Sun http://www.ottawasun.com/2012/11/05/...nators-players

Montreal players not yet arrived due to accident, only 9 a side, Alfie has no insurance says it will probably be safer playing than practicing 1 on 1 with Chris Neil

Attendance has been announced at 4800, who says canadians are not starved of hockey. 2 Cornwall Colts are the goalies. Game just about to start

Alfie speaks,

Quote:
"I'm hoping something gets done, but I'm going about my life right now," said Alfredsson. "It's pretty busy with four kids and I'm getting an idea of the heavy load my wife's been pulling while I've been playing all these years so it's been nice to help out."

the final score 13-9, with Guillaume Latendresse as the star of the night.
He had two goals and five assists.

Regin looked really good, as did Zack Smith on the Black team. Methot looked good as well, but with little to no bodychecking it was tough for the D.

On the White team, Alfie was smooth and smart as usual, Neil looked good, and Latendresse surprised me with his speed and passing ability.

It made me want NHL hockey again

Photos of the event should anyone still give a ****.

I was there with media access but not really in an official capacity beyond a little project for school. Did not bother submitting these to any newspapers. Event was really a lot of fun for the community here and I hope it was the same for the players.
