Hello Mr Savage,

I have a couple of questions which I'd like you to address

#1. Can you confirm Joshua Gorges captained the Kelowna Rockets?

#2. Any chance I can get some tickets? I'll settle for the Molson Ex section, I'm not picky. I'm okay with being your +1 too, so don't be shy.

Sincerely,
-Beaker

I was very young when you played for the Habs, but I do remember that you weren't too bad of a player and I was actually scared when I saw you shaking on the ice against the Kings. It was probably then that I realized how hockey was a very dangerous sport. Welcome to the board!

Wow awesome to have a former Habs here! I was a quite young when you played for the Habs but I can still remember you pretty well. Welcome on HFboards, your input will surely be appreciated. I'd have a few questions but I'm sure you have enough to answer here for a while!

Verified NHL (ex)players should get their own username color.
I vote for pink.

Welcome to the boards, Brian! Always a fan of you in the CH.

If you need anything at all, feel free to ask.

One tip, stay away from the post game threads. A lot of us get really emotional after our boys lose. We don't mean most of the things we say!!

I remember the 94 playoffs like it was yesterday. Savage joined the team for the playoffs vs Boston, he was going to be our no2 center behind Muller. Then he got moved to LW!

Was a big fan of Recchi until his comment on Patches. Recchi should know better. Imagine Patches' family at the time, and how they would react to Recchi's comments about the Habs embellishing the injury when just a couple days ago their son was lying motionless on the ice. Recchi never apologized for his comments either.

This is a very cool surprise.

I remember loving the Savage / Koivu / Recchi line many moons ago.

I have a gripe with you, Brian! My mom used to always go and give blood at the Habs' blood donor clinic and get me autographs while I was in school. I remember her telling me about one time you and her had a few minute conversation but you had no pictures for her to sign. You said you were going to get more and would be back.

You never came back, Brian. You never came back. I want my signed picture from the 1997 or so blood drive!

On a more serious, but equally unimportant note, I used to work at the Bell Centre store, and I've spoken to you on the phone once or twice when you called in.

Welcome to the board!

Welcome aboard Brian!

If I'm not wrong, I think you're the last player who learned French well enough to give interviews. I can assure you it earned you A LOT of respect, and I think many Habs players should learn from your example! Oh well, I'm sure what helps is to get a French speaking girlfriend...

I also remember that 4-2-6 game in Long Island. Right in the middle of the ice storm. I actually missed that game because I had no electricity, and was amazed to find out about it!

Question : You've had 4 coaches in Montreal (Demers, Tremblay, Vigneault and Therrien). Could you list them from your favorite to your least favorite?

Question : Who were the hardest workers you've ever played with in Montreal? (even if they were not so talented)

I tried my best to speak french but I know it wasn't the best. I threw a couple english words in all the time.

I had respect for all those coaches and got along with all. If I had to rate them I would say Demers, Vigneault, Therrien and Trembley. Trembley was thrown into a tough situation and we were friends before as he was the radio announcer. He didn't really have any experience as head coach. I believe he was a way better head assistant coach as he could interact more with the players as he did in Minny.

As for the hardest working player, I would have to say Shane Doan I played with in PHX or Kirk Muller and Turner Stevenson in my earlier days in Montreal. They were very professional and great team players. I played with a lot of great people during time in the NHL.

I will be back in Montreal soon and get you that picture. I need some more jerseys so I might be calling into the boutique shortly.

Yes agree with you there. I remember when I broke my neck in LA, Ian Lapierrierre came to the hospital after the game to see me and i thought was very classic of Lappy.

It's going to be ridiculous if he actual becomes a regular poster.

i can't believe more former players don't want to interact with fans and lend their past experiences with them. I think it will help people understand it from a players point of view.
