Streit was not re-signed but he was a Vancouver player. Not sure if that makes him Western UFA Dman Agent.

Matt Hackett Re-Signs

The Minnesota Wild have re-signed goaltender Matt Hackett to a one year, $1 million contract. The contract is a one-way deal.

"We're very excited for Matthew. We believe he can be a starting goaltender in the NHL, and he'll be splitting time with Josh Harding next year."

Yes, fellow GM's, that means that Niklas Backstrom will head to Unrestricted Free Agency.

The Wild will be using their amnesty buyout on forward Dany Heatley. We would like to thank Heatley for all his hard work with the Wild. But frankly, I really don't like him so getting rid of him for free is fine with me.

Just to be clear on the amnesty buyout; it's a regular buyout, but without the cap hit?

In terms of trading Ruutu is still on the block. Ideally I'd like to move him as part of a package for an upgrade of some kind.

I am looking for a top 4 RHD and a Top 6 RW

Exactly. Still counts as your one buyout in the game, but there will be no cap hit.

Do we have a UFA Forward Agent? Looked back the last few pages and couldn't find one.

UPDATE

We don't expect to make any splash during free agency as we have already 22 players signed on our roster and over 61M$ on the salary cap.

We won't place any player on the trade block but we are open to trade discussions. You can take a look at our updated roster in the roster thread.

are using their buyout on defensemen Paul Martin. At $5m, we can't afford to keep him. He will be replaced by someone cheaper via FA.

Don't expect my clients who receive offers to wait very long to sign. From the time they receive their first offer they will sign within 24 hours. No 2-3+ days drama here.

Anyone looking for an additional Amnasty buyout..... Phoenix is likely not using ours. Willing to make a deal to take on an Amnasty contract for a sweetener

EDIT:

Will also try and have the East RFA list posted on Page 1 tonight (so we know who is eligible for offer sheet and who is an outright UFA) and will handle these clients. No guarantees cause i'll be busy most of the night watching the *thing I can't mention on the hockey forums as per HF rules*...but i'll keep everyone in the loop.

anyone who has NOT PMed me yet, you have 15 mins to qualify your guys
