This looks right. Not sure about MAB at the moment. He seems to be struggling. That may mean nothing later. He could go back to the bottom pairing and be fine.
I root for MAB, but I wouldn't mind seeing Manning given a shot.
The shortened season ..if we have one seems to be what the Flyers need b/c right now neither Bryz (for whatever excuse) nor the D men down with the Phantoms are doing too well...
Reading about how our D prospects are performing so far (not in optimal form) was not encouraging but it's early and they have to learn Murray's style...

Coverages were spotty as too many opposing attackers had free reign to get to the scoring areas without paying a price.
On top of that, the Phantoms defensemen with offensive skills weren't helping out very much on the struggling power play. At even strength, they weren't consistently making good decisions about when to join the rush or when to pinch on the forecheck.

Who else is currently injured on the flyers blue line?
If the question mark besides Voracek is because of his injury, I believe he either played or was supposed to play in the last day or so... If it was about his being on the First Line, never-mind.
Fedotenko has been playing Center in the KHL for an extended period of time now, shouldering a big load - even top line minutes at times. In 15 games so far he put up a FO% 53.4 which is also encouraging.
He would be a good choice as 4th line center. I think Holmstrom has been moved to wing with the Phantoms this season, not to mention that he never looked like an NHL regular anyways so he probablywon't make the roster.
Most hockey fans seem to think that Braydon Schenn should play center but the organization and even T. Murray seem to prefer playing him on the wing.
As far as defense is concerned I think that Gus/Gervais/Bourdon/Manning can hold the fort until Mesz is ready to play again. If he suffers a setback or someone else of the regulars goes down for a longer period they may be in big trouble though.
Giroux and Briere have been playing together for a while now in Germany, I reckon that the plan would be to slide Briere onto his wing. It's probably time for Danny to move away from the center position anyway and let Schenn learn how to play center. I've also been a little bit skeptical the Hartnell-Giroux-Voracek line combo that many are assuming to be assembled will be effective on a consistent basis.
Something about the roster seems a little... thin. Seems like we could use a veteran goalscoring LW, and another vet 4th line PK specialist because I'm not confident Wellwood/Holmstrom are going to be effective at the NHL level. Wellwood has nice speed but we could use a more diverse role player. Also, I think Rinaldo is a very underrated player.
Of course, the D is also very scary, though a shortened season for Timo will be a very positive thing, and may even extend his career another year.
In summation: this is an incomplete roster. I'd feel better if Bryzgalov were able to shut the door. We don't have assets to acquire a D or another skilled forward. Somehow I feel Cousins/Laughton may not be in the system very long... and the next five 2nd round picks, but that goes without saying.

I like the idea of having Briere on the top line. He had chemistry with Hartnell before and now has chemistry with Giroux. We also need a line to shut down other team's top lines and it has to include Couturier. I see somthing like this...
How about "if both sides would pull their heads from their *****"? Jesus, if you hate the players that much, why do you care if they ever return?
I couldn't care less if the players returned. I have to watch the british league. I am a fan of the flyers as a team, not the players. I couldn't give a toss who plays for the team. I would be just as happy seeing replacements win the cup for the flyers as I would seeing the players themselves.

You wouldn't MUCH rather see the Flyers with the cup with NHL players than with non-NHL players? Is that what you are saying. Sure everyone's entitled to their opinion... But that is one horrible opinion.

As much as the Flyers need him, given they had the worst defense in the league last year with him, without him will be a disaster, I hope he /they don't rush him back. Typical rehab, 100% recovered for a torn Achilles tendor is usually 6 mos. I was okay with the original estimate of March. An Achilles tear is not something you want to screw around with. They need him healthy for the playoffs.
