Where do I even begin?

We don't have Schemitsch and Janosik anymore, and JT Brown being only a 7.0 C feels like a stretch.

Tell me if I'm being homer-ish but I think Vasilevskiy should be 8.0 B at least. I mean he's been very good in Russia and he's committed to coming to NA next year so that eliminates a bit of the Russian factor. Also agree with Felonious Python that Brown should be rated a bit higher as well

Looking this over, I'd say the Lightning are most in need of some large gritty forwards and maybe another highly skilled defenseman.

Goalies' habit of developing unpredictably is probably what will keep him as a C for a few years.

Meh large gritty forwards are needed by every team. But I think Yzerman sees that as an issue as well (drafted Hart this season)

I wouldn't say another highly skilled dman, just another high ceiling dman. We have Hedman long term as our number 1. Barberio could be a #3 or #4 dman.

Koekkoek could become our number 2, but our history with dmen? IMO our 1st round pick this season needs to be another dman with top pairing potential.

In net we have an embarrassment of riches, with Lindback so young, Vas, Tik, Janus, Helenius etc

"High ceiling" is probably a better way to word it.

Most of the good defensemen are coming from the WHL this year, which we don't scout much. I don't know how much a scout makes, but it may be worth hiring another one to send out west.

I thought I heard that somewhere, but it could of just been something in my brain from us having no draft picks from the WHL for the last two years.

Where is Helenius on your list? And Kucherov should be more like an 8-8.5 D or C. The guy has elite potential.

HF has some rules that exclude some guys due to age or xp, hence no Helenius, Taormina, Aulie, Connolly, etc...

I'd have Helenius about equal to Tokarski currently, although I think he has a little more NHL potential due to his size.
Kucherov is looking good, a few more games and he might get bumped up to 8.0, by me at least.
