Jake played his first game since the injury, scored the only goal of his team.

Good to hear he's back. Hopefully just in time for the NHL to get out of the lockout.

Yeah, too bad, G and Danny didn't hit at the shootout.
Well, I wasn't even able to read ticker or listen liveradio, maybe because of that they lost ...

But seriously to lose against one of the weakest teams with their weakest manpower they had the last past years ... jesus christ, ridiculous.

It's not ridiculous to loose against Düsseldorf in the shoot out. That's sports, it happens.
The DEG played really destructive and used their chances from counterattacks very well. And the Eisbären usually don't look too good against teams that concentrate more on destroying the game instead of playing themselves.
Claude said in a post-game interview that they were not ready. I listened to the game on our radio and would say that he's right.

A bit weird he would sign now that the lockout is going to end.

My prediction: The lockout continues and the Eisbären will get an NHL-defender (hopefully of the Flyers...) !

With these meetings in the past days, you really think there's a chance they don't end the lockout?

Considering how "well" it went last time? Yes.

Btw. Giroux stopped by in Prague a few days ago. He said that people kept thinking he was Voracek - "but I'm not that ugly" ...

I'm buying one of those for sure. Was gonna get the official Giroux shirt from the Eisbaren website, but the shipping costs were too steep.

I think it looks awesome!

Giroux / Briere special in November

You'll get:

-2 premium tickets (without catering)
-1 signed shirt (Giroux or Briere)
-1 Championship DVD (signed by Felski)
-1 parking ticket

All for 199 €!

Seems to be a very fair price...

Does look wrong

I hate nick names on the back of the shirt like that.

Should say Giroux. Not G
