Drouin's moustache and his goal tonight so reminded me of Denis Savard his draft year.Gotta have this kid playing with Galchenyuk and Pacioretty in a couple of years or less.

I thought Hudon was better player than Drouin last night
No way from me. Not yet at least. I don't see that special hockey sense those other two have. I'm not sold on him even going 1st overall this year. From what I've seen, he'll be a dynamic goal scorer, but I can't say that I see him as an elite franchise conerstone. He's got a lot of time to prove me wrong though..
Connor Mcdavid is a SPECIAL player, Mack has nothing on him IMO.
Different strokes for different folks, I'm not going to try to sell you on him. Whether he's a slam dunk 1st overall is somewhat beside the point, if you're hesitant to compare him to the likes of Tavares. Don't forget that it was neck-and-neck between Tavares and Hedman leading up to draft day. I think MacKinnon and Jones have a very comparable thing going. If MacKinnon doesn't go first overall, it's only because Jones is just that good.
However, their certainly isn't a forward in this draft I would think about taking before MacKinnon.

I'm wondering when I should make my attempt at a first-round ranking for 2013. I think I'm going to aim for December...still haven't seen enough of everyone to feel confident in a ranking yet.
To be honest, i just want our first round pick to be top15. Any of :
Mackinnon
Barkov
Jones
Monahan
Lindholm
Drouin
Ristolainen
Pulock
Shinkaruk
Erne
Lazar
Burakovsky
Morissey
Hagg
Domi
Fucale is a great goalie, just hope we get a forward or defenseman with this 1rst round and hopefully pick up Martin in the 2nd round. As for Nichuskin I havent seen him play that much tbh. I like Hagg more than Nurse personally, he plays so calmly and is always in control of the play. Good shot too

They all look like top10 picks for me
There is a lot of forward talent this year at the top, like 7-8 players that could be top five easily. Then there are another 3-4 defencemen that may make a claim as well so every team will draft a NHL player if they pick the safe choices.I would like the Habs to have a top ten pick that way they can move up to pick a player they want desperately using their 2nd round picks or a veteran+.Wait and see that's all we can do.
On a total different ballgame, I don't remember who it was in here, I also was a fan, but somebody was a big fan of his.....teams should have chosen Peter Quenneville who was in the AJHL. Now in the USHL in a point per game ratio. Not the biggest....will need to be more accustomed to the physical play....but geez the talent is there and would have definately be worth of a 7th rounder....

You could definitely be right.

Sasha Barkov! I'd want to see more of them all tbh, but Drouin seems like a guy who could challenge as well.
I'd still take Mackinnon 1, at least among forwards. Haven't seen too much of Barkov, but MacKinnon is simply the more explosive talent physically and thus I think has higher upside. Once this kid gets it, look out. He really has outstanding tools across the board, like a Gally but with explosive exceleration...
There is such a variety of prospects being mentioned here that I am falling in love with almost all of them and don't know who to pick. Right now it seems like selecting between 10-15 still means getting a legit blue chipper and especially with our scouting staff making the call. Kinda makes u wish we were that terrible, eh.
