Hey maybe it's a good sign for Fucale - if he can have a glove hand like his shortstop baseball counterpart that we mess up his name with!
Haha, yes he's good with his glove. A couple bad ones this season on the blocker though. He hasn't been tested much this season and was shaky in a few, so if he's going to go in the first round he'll need to improve...

Oh, and I'm watching the cards now

Care to elaborate, DuckJet? Definitely not a consensus Top 10 pick, but this is not a consensus rankings. Heck, probably only 1 other ranking has him Top 15. Keep on eye on this kid.

All good points Kulemon.

As they say, it why they play the game. It's a lot of hypothetical projections going on right now. Only time will tell how the various prospects progress.

Who do you think (other than Elias Lindholm, of course) has a chance to crack The Next One's Top 10?

I think Mr. Pike's rankings might value toughness and rugged play less than NHL teams do. Lazar, Nurse, and Zadorov seem low, and I'd be pretty surprised if Fucale didn't go significantly higher than where he's ranked here.

Appreciate the comment and insight DP. If you talk to Ryan in person, you wouldn't think that, but maybe the ratings imply. He really values intangibles. As for Fucale, he's another guy who values goalies less than most come draft day given the unpredictable nature in which they develop. Agree that he likely goes higher, but this is not a mock draft.

Cheers

Good list. A little surprised to see Hudson Fasching so high.

This is a good sized draft class.

To be very polite as well, Kujawinski is NOT a top 10 talent especially in this stacked draft class so I agree with you DuckJet. To be honest, he may have trouble cracking the top 20 by year end.

I've watched Kujawinski a ton in the OHL and while I love his size and well-rounded game, I dont think he thinks the game at high enough level to become worthy of such a high selection. He's got good pro skills but he's still very much a work in progress. I think people over emphasize his breakout last season upon arriving in Kingston. For me, there are at least 20 players better than him and certainly 10-15 dominant players to not make him worthy of a top 10 selection.

He is a great kid and I am definitely hoping he proves me wrong.

I'm one to admit when I'm wrong and good call on Kujawinski - was hoping for a little more this year. I still really like him as a prospect, but bottom third of the 1st rnd is more like it.

Stay tuned for updated Top 60 rankings in December.
