We should start making GDTs for these meetings.

Fingers crossed, I would love to sit down Black Friday watch some games. Perfect excuse so my fiancee doesn't drag me to the mall.

Revenue sharing and guarantee of contracts were staples of 2 #nhlpa offers Wednesday

Hearing NHLPA made compromise offer yesterday based on rev sharing, keeping contract rights & HRR split that drops them to 50.3% in Year 3

doesn't sound like things going well with nhl-nhlpa but doing play by play/making sense of offers we know so little about = mug's game.

“@Real_ESPNLeBrun: NHLPA's offered concept to NHL on Make Whole would see players go down to 50-50 of HRR by Year 3. So there's a phase-in element to it”

which is the only way to really honor existing contracts (majority of them end by year 2).. this is fair, but i dont like how things are leaking out

As we have been saying this is what should have been proposed from the very beginning.. Players revenue decreases each year until there is 50/50, that way contracts are honored.

NHL, by the way, has been willing to negotiate on rev. sharing among teams. So, I still think that's an issue sides can work through.

Things sound positive, which is almost always good news. Better than no news, or bad news.

Mike Francesa came back from a commercial break at 4:46pm. He said he spoke with a couple of people who told him progress is being made with the gradual 50/50,make whole and revenue sharing. Mike knows Frank Brown and John Dellapina really well. He knows the Garden guys really well.

Some of hockey guys on twitter like Russo are saying things aren't going well since the PA didn't offer 50/50. McKenzie said it foolish to draw those conclusions. The NBA players received 51.2% in 11-12. 66 game season. Soft landing.

If the NHL and PA can't agree, talks will break off. Then they will wait to see what happens.

Hopeful but sceptical
Players might be too emotional still

I'll believe they're close when a deal is reached.

Consider me skeptical.

Francesa may never talk hockey, but when it comes to the business portion of it he gets all into it. It's pretty interesting.

yeah I'm with Bleed Ranger what else can they discuss? They either want to compromise or they don't.. waiting is not going to change that.
