Might be he sent a pic of himself with evidence (such as a paper with ''hello hfboards, I'm Brian Savage'' on it).

The admins have valid proof that Brian is who he says he is. No need to be paranoid.

Yes I would have love to shoot!! We should have won in normal time but got a penalty with 2 mins left and they scored. Top 3 hockey experiences ever.

1) I quit hockey when I was 16 and 17 years old. I never skated for 2 years as I was concentrating on getting a golf scholarship in the USA. I got back in hockey when I was 18 and played high school hockey. When I was 19 I played for the Sudbury Cubs Tier 2 team and some told Miami of Ohio they should come see a kid from Sudbury. That was in January and they offer me a scholarship after watching me for 2 games.

2) It was the lockout shortened season. Only 48 game schedule. I got hurt and missed 11 games do to a knee injury. I know I played with Turner Stevenson a lot that year but I believe we had lots of left wings come and go. Jacque Demers was an awesome coach. Learned a lot on how to be a professional!!

3) I got drafted after my 1st season at Miami. I didn't attend the draft. Just happy to get draft and excited it was for Montreal. That summer I went to hockey in Minny for 8 weeks and that was the turning point in my career. I had a great 2nd year at Miami. Next summer did the same 8 weeks in Minny. My last year I was MVP of CAHA and our team won the league title. I left right after hockey to join Team Canada for the World Championship in Germany with the NHL players in 1993. Signed with Montreal that summer!!! Interesting way to get to the NHL that is why I always say if you are good enough, be committed and pay the price, they will find you!!

1) How did end up playing for Miami University (Ohio) if you're from Sudbury? Was the OHL not an option?

2) Tell us a bit about your rookie season (94-95). Who were your line-mates? Did you have jitters? Was it tough to earn a spot?

3) Did you go to the NHL draft in 1991? Were you disappointed to go 171st overall in the 8th round? Did that end up motivating you to play harder and prove you belonged?

Who did you grow up cheering for? Seeing how you're from Ontario, I'm afraid of what the answer may be.

And secondly, what did you have to do to get verified?

Could be an admin conspiracy to keep traffic flowing in absence of real hockey. What better target than the most passionate fan base.

Brian, do you have any memorabilia from the time you wore Bleu-Blanc-Rouge?

Hi Brian and welcome to our crazy board! It's really nice of you to answer all these questions. If you could, I would like to know:

1)Do you like poutine?

2)How are your kids doing? Which position do they play and do they want to play hockey for a living?

3)Who is your favorite current player?

I can't speak for him, but if I were in his shoes I doubt I'd join a hockey boards just to answer questions after questions about my own professional career and my taste in chocolates.

I, for one, would be more interested in reading Mr. Savage's opinion on day to day habs matters than reading a forced biography. This feels like a never ending interview. I'm sure the man has given enough of those in Montreal ! Be considerate and let him be!

BTW, welcome Mr. Savage !

Hey brian, forget this thread. Share your opinion on current hockey matters instead of people asking which underwear you wear. lol We'd love to know your opinions. Whenever you want to, we'd be more than willing to listen.

This thread just reafirms how much I can't stand fanboys. Let's talk about hockey with Brian and leave all of the other pathetic pandering and juvenile mancrush nonsense where it belongs........

And here starts the blame game. The finger pointing. The thinly veiled insults. The name calling.

Par for the course for this board, sadly. Welcome Mr. Savage, now you have been fully accepted.

And guys, can't we ago anywhere before you start making a scene in public?

Hey Brian, happy to have you here even if I am just a Canucks fan (nothing wrong the Habs, though)

I don't want to put you under the 8 ball here, but what do you think is different negotiation-wise between Fehr and say Goodenow or Saskin, is he more of an imposing presence than the latter two or what is it that you think gives him the hard-ass appearance for us fans?

Hey Brian,

Welcome aboard, I always enjoyed your game and had respect for your talent.

A few questions you may or not be able to answer.

We often discuss the role of fighting on this forum and debate whether or not it has any real value and although you were not a fighter, maybe you could shed some light on this issue.

1. Do you feel fighting in hockey is a necessary evil?

2. If so, did having protection or overall team toughness offer you any confidence or a sense of security to allow you to do your job more easily, ie score goals.

3. What is the general consensus amongst your former team mates regarding those questions?

4. Do you feel the current habs could use some more toughness of any kind, or do you think they are good enough now in that department.

Look forward to a response from someone who is in a better position to answer than the rest of us.

Thanks Brian!!!!!
