It wouldn't surprise me to see Murray with the C but it belongs to Nuge in my opinion, if the lockout is still on this will be Nuges team. You also cant over look the relationship that the Oilers have with HC.

I cant see this team losing a game. Wow it looks dynamite.

Agree with most of these rosters being posted. Wouldnt have Shinkaruk however. I dont see Canada not taking a bruiser of some kind, they literally take one every year to go out and intimidate/shift momentum.

Not sure who it will be, but some kind of agitator that can hit hard and often finds their way onto the roster. Maybe Dumba on the backend or Leipsic/Wilson up front but I dont see Wilson making it. Any sleeper types that play this style of game?

Anthony Camara hits a lot and is scoring this year with Scheifele, real longshot though. I can see Wilson making it personally.

if Wilson is healthy he'd most likely get that spot over Camara. Camara does bring a little more offence but from the looks of things scoring goals shouldn't be this teams problem.

Can you please explain why Huberdeau would get the C and RNH gets no letter at all?

Because he hasn't been playing in the juniors so he doesn't play against those guys very often ( Not that he should or that it's his fault). I wouldn't mind giving him an A, but HC will probably not. Not because he's not a leader though.

It's disrespectful to not give a 1st overall pick a letter.

Liking Jordan Binnington so far. Seems to be good at coming in cold and being solid. Still not sure if I would rather have him or Fucale though.

Any chance Corrado makes it? He also plays the right side, so he could play his natural side on the team, as IIRC both Harrington and Ouellet are lefties.

Absolutely no chance.

Anyway, I'm thinking Leivo or Ritchie should get that third-line wing spot.

If the NHL is up and running by the time this tournament starts we should see the most undrafted dependent team in many years. MacKinnon, Drouin and Monahan should all play big roles, even if the lockout is still on.

I've seen Joshua Leivo mentioned a couple times in the last 5 pages.

Any non-Leaf fans think he can make the team?

If Spott wasn't the coach, would Murphy make the team?

Given Binnington's Memorial Cup experience (already named best goalie at 17), his big game experience would at worst give Canada a terrific insurance option behind Subban. Nobody has his track record in big games yet. Fucale is a great prospect but the youth factor works heavily against him.

Then again this is Hockey Canada making the picks and we've seen how they can be blinded by favouritism in the past. I've just had the pleasure of watching Binnington the last four seasons and having seen his competition the only guy who is on his level in Canada this year is the guy he took over for halfway through the game.

Its between him, Lessio, Griffith, Graovac, Leipsic, Ritchie for the 3RW spot. Pretty much a toss up at this point

Hockey Canada alluded to the fact they disagreed with Murphy not making it before in the summer, he's absolutely making this team regardless of Spott. While we're on the topic of different coaches, different WJC coaches the last two years and this might be Murphy (And Murrays) third year.

But theres no way, ever, a 19 year old like Murphy would be left off the team. I don't care what your opinion is on him, it would never happen.

Lessio is out for two and a half months. I can't see Leipsic making it.
