Pronman posted his top 50 nhl players under 23 years of age.

Marco Scandella #39, only Wild player on the list.

Spurgeon is a few weeks away from his 23rd and he's a markedly better player than Scandella at this stage.

Scandella is very good defenseman prospect, I think a lot of this list is based on future potential as well. Spurgeon is kind of limited while Scandella showed flashes of being a legit 1st pairing d man last year, albeit one that still has some adjustments to make. Tall and skilled physically with some unexpectedly smooth hands make him a pretty valuable asset to most teams and hes still developing.

That article was an interesting read. The most interesting part, was who Scandella outranked. Including the "Honorable Mentions", most of which were drafted much higher...

Mikkel Boedker, Left Wing, Phoenix Coyotes
T.J. Brodie, Defense, Calgary Flames
Cody Eakin, Center, Dallas Stars
Stefan Elliot, Defense, Colorado Avalanche
Cody Hodgson, Center, Buffalo Sabres
Nino Niederreiter, Left Wing, New York Islanders
Luke Schenn, Defense, Philadelphia Flyers
Colin Wilson, Center, Nashville Predators

Looks like Johan Gustafsson is playing quite well

Also I wonder how Lucia is doing? I believe I saw that he was skating again, but not sure when he is expected to return.

Haven't heard anything, think he either just started skating or will very soon.

I wouldn't put Zucker as cold yet. He is playing hurt and has been an inspiration to his teammates on the defensive end.

Don't read too much into it. I just put it up because it's impossible for me to do a 3D matrix of week-to-week performance.

I haven't been able to catch them on TV or online yet, but it would be great if Seeler and Draeger turn into legit Dmen. Draeger, as a freshman, it the top scoring Dman for MSU.

Two seasons in college and maybe two more in Houston, and they could be good reinforcements for the Wild's blueline.

Hurt. He's looking at a Thanksgiving return.

Graovac is now 6'4, 205.

Another 2 goals tonight, we're only half way through the second.

If you have any more insight as an Ottawa fan, we'd love to hear it. We also have the Tyler Graovac specific thread down a little on the Minnesota Wild forum page.

Nothing like watch Pouliot put up 20-something points and explaining it away by Houston having no talent for him to play with. Dark times.

Noticed tonight that the crowd has started to react to Coyle just having the puck on his stick. Such an exciting player.
Dang. Sure would be nice to finally have another player that could get the crowd going. Somebody needs to step up. Remember the days when you'd quickly move to the edge of your seat after Gabby got a hold of the puck? Memories.....
