I think it's his decision. I think he needs to build a little more confidence playing at this level. Actually I wouldn't be surprised if the coaching staff told him to shoot more and to use his wheels more. The talent is there - just needs to work it out. He's got a good group of guys to help him with that. When i spoke with him at the end of last year, he said McCarthy was a huge help to him. We do have some great character guys and leaders this year. So I do expect the youngins to improve
Sounds like he'e learning his way through the AHL/Pro game. Thank you for your comments.
Anyways, from the time he spent here in Belleville, Mash has got a great wrist shot, and like you guys already know, he provides a really good physical presence. Like somebody else mentioned, I can definitely see him being a Clowe 2.0. As for speed, he isn't exceptionally fast, but he's definitely not a choppy skater. He's quick enough for his size.
He's a power forward who can score. It's just a matter of if he's given a good enough opportunity to be able to flourish into a more Clowe like player. He definitely already has the physical presence of Clowe, just not the same scoring ability.
Anyone in Worcester been following his play this season? I see his numbers aren't that great, but then again he's played only 7 games.
