I hate your avatar. I watch that show despite it being mediocre, but my god .... not that hot!

Welcome to Reading. In 3 years time, you get to leave!

Wut? Fresh Meat is hilarious, it is in no way mediocre. She's not that hot no, but I needed a new avatar and someone in the Lounge has Josie as his avatar so I copied the theme.

Reading is certainly an improvement from Swindon

Can't see anyway GB advances from this group. No Neilson and no Sarich on the blueline will be a huge loss to the powerplay. I wasn't that impressed with Corey in Ljubljana, but the guy can run a PP. With Weaver as the sole PP QB, I can see the powerplay having a negative goal difference.

Japan will beat us by three or four goals in a similar fashion to how they did in Ljubljana, and I can see the Korea game going to overtime.

Well, you're from Swindon, so .... of course she looks hot to you.

Fresh Meat is watchable, but no more. It isn't original, and clearly draws from other shows (Inbetweeners, Peep Show) but is too crass and akward. Being crude or akward for the sake of it doesn't make it funny. I have to admire Joseph Thomas and his acting range.

You'll get bored of Reading night life soon enough. Perverted pubs or ... Revs!

Not many Brits score a PPG in the EIHL, last season the only guys who did it were Dowd, Peacock, Clarke, Tait and Farmer. So it's probably correct to say Clarke and Peacock are having slow season.

However you mustn't forget the new conference system this season means less games against the 'bad' teams, so they're not going to score as many points.

I went to Revs during freshers week and wasn't impressed. We usually go to Q or Evissa, haven't been to Yates yet because it always looks deserted when we walk past. Went into Purple Turtle once, my god that place is ****ing awful, and the only way to describe AfterDark:

Hahaha. I legit chuckled. Rare.

Revs is good if you like very very stupid .... i don't think HFboards will let me use the word.

Q used to be called stab bar, but is now probably the best option. Though when i walked into the hip hop tent to the song rack city ... not enough awesomeoness and fear at the same time.

Afterdark i think might be housing illegal workers. You feel bad ordering a drink (and because they don't apparently have glasses????).

I refuse to go to the Purple Turtle. I actually actively look for worse pubs/places when i travel.

Going to bed bar is probably like being in your bed. More brain cells in Wayne Rooney's head than people in there.

Welcome to Reading. The party never starts.

Afterdark is worth a visit just for the bouncer, he's hilarious. I think they definitely have illegal workers, all of the barmaids were east Asian. They only give you glasses for spirits and shots, I asked for a pint of Fosters and got given a can I'm pretty sure the can also said on it "not to be sold individually" or "not to be re-sold" so they obviously just bought a load of crates from Sainsbury's or something

There was also a grammatical error on the toilet door, it said "Gentleman"

I have an imagine of you sitting in a lecture with your mac open, typing notes into a HFboards chat reply box.

The afterdark doesn't make a tremendous first impression given it's location is where you'd expect to find some dead red light district workers. They should perhaps think about re-naming it to After immigration.

I don't have a mac, I'm from Swindon, I can't afford one and it would just get stolen anyway

I need to start taking my laptop though, I've been nearly falling asleep in my History lectures. And I only stay awake in European studies because the lecturer is French and it's hilarious when he can't say certain words properly. I keep my reading interesting by reading it in his accent. The most recent episode of Fresh Meat was hilarious when Howard spoke in Josie's accent.

I saw my history lecturer's dong. True story.

Laptops aren't advisable for taking in notes/revising. But then, it's history. If you fail, well, you definitely deserve to go back to Swindon. I don't know what particular modules you are doing though. I did fascism and Emancipation to marketisation in "Russia" (Of which it was just a fat old russian lady moaning about how long she used to have to que for). Easy topics.

Only seen upto episode 2 of this series. I can't wait to see how many times Simo .. i mean Kingsley says errrrm.

Not at all on the first day of freshers week they let in too many people and I got stuck downstairs by the toilets, security let us out of the fire exit then the ***** on the door wouldn't let us back in.

Anyway this is way off topic now, first game is tomorrow against Korea and it's 5am faceoff for us. If anyone cares the GB ladies lost 7-0 against France yesterday in their Olympic quals.

And unfortunately every ******** is invited.

Zero degrees is probably the best. But there's really nothing else. My friends and I are all not really into clubs etc anyway so we just stick to Wokingham.

Not bad for a casual pint. Due to no sports bar being in Reading, and deciding not to watch it on our friends 42 inch TV, we could only find Zero Degrees to watch the Champions league. Having to look up, with avril lavigne playing in the sound system ....

The clubs in Reading suck. The pubs in Reading suck. But if you need assistance on your iphone or mac, no shortage of the Blue apple squad.

It was a SO loss not a heartbreaker.
Korea/Japan hopefully go to OT or a SO and a GB blowout regulation time W over Romania will go a long way.
Not sure of the format but if Japan beats Korea in reg time they are in the drivers seat?

I'd guess so, I'm not sure of the fixtures but I think its obvs Romania V Japan.

Then the next round is GB V Romania and Korea Japan.

Then finally Korea V Romania and GB V Japan.

GB need a good convincing win over Romania, then hope that Japan win something like 1-0 over Korea, then beat Japan.

Tbh even if GB had beaten Korea today I think it would have come down to a GB V Japan decider anyway, just now we need other **** to go their way.

The tie breaker is head-to-head, goal difference doesn't matter
