I think he could be a good 3rd liner. When you watch him, every once in a while he will do something offensively that you didnt think he could. I think he could potentially be a physical 15/15 or 15/20 guy who will hustle, crash the net, fight, and sacrifice his body for the team. Especially if we keep Regin as the 3c, who is a good play maker.

There's something seriously wrong you see posts that compare Zibanejad's upside with DD's as equal. Not accusing you of anything derriko.

I understand your post and agree if we are talking about a 3rd liner in general. There are some exceptions out there though like in Pit where Stall was a "3rd liner."

I think If Zib plays better as a C, then thats where he should play. I have no problem having Spezza, Turris, and Zib as the centers in the future. As long as Zib plays on a powerplay and pk, he would have plenty of ice time, possibly even as much as anyone gets on the team.

So technically, people projecting Zib as a "3rd liner" might actually be right. Ya never know...

Well in some sense they both show some similarities to Curtiss Gelncross. Although, if DD becomes another Glencross then we should be ecstatic, but if Zibanejad becomes another Glencross, then it would be a big disappointment relative to his draft position.

But no one calling Z a 3rd liner mean in the way that Jordan Staal is. I also know, anything can happen. It's just retarded knee jerk reactions right now that are easy to dispute.

Joe blow with no talent in Bingo can play well for a couple games, for his standards (which aren't high), he may be older as well and all of a sudden people start saying "hey, maybe this guy could be a 3rd liner".

But then the kid who's 19, who clearly has boatloads more talent in every attribute plays below expectation, for his standards (which are sky high), he's all of a sudden seen in a similar light that mister overachieving mediocre prospect is.

What similarities are those though?

I see one guy less talented than Glencross and one guy who is more. Both clearly. The problem people have here is that many need to give their firm opinion as fast as possible. What good is someone's 10 game evaluation, especially when they are fixated on production, if they should wait on Zibanejad over the course of a year or two if it takes that long for him to be ready to score in the league.

A player of his talent should figure it out over time.

But man oh man, if there's a 3rd liner in the league, a legitimate 3rd liner, with Zibanejad's attributes and skill level....I'd love to see just one example.

Trade him to Switzerland for all I care. He isn't going anywhere with this organization.

Maybe that guy asked him some hard questions about his lack of production so far in the interview.

Perhaps he had a hangnail and his last wish (of the afternoon) was to have Noesen put up a four point night.

I like that too. And I waste way too many hang nails on wishes for fame and money when I could be using them to propel Sens prospects.

Yes but what is his plus/minus on the night. Cause you know, that is where it is really at.

Noesen named 1st star in a 5-3 Plymouth win. He collected 2g 2a in the W.

Played Pipes for the opening ceremonies for the Kitchener game tonight.

Met Matt Puempel right before as I got lost in the arena. Outstanding guy.

He responds with 1g tonight.

Good puck movement, made good plays in his own zone, when he got in the circle with the puck he either got it at the net or back to the point. Some second guessing along the boards with his linemates but the line kept the D busy quite consistently.

You'll be sorry when he becomes the next Rob Niedermayer.

Shane Prince talked about his time in Binghamton thus far:
My role is to help out offensively, and obviously you have to play a defensive game as well, but it was good to get on the board. I’m trying to play more gritty, the AHL is a different league and you have to play harder and get in the corners … That’s my role with those two guys [Zibanejad and Petersson], who are more skill guys. I’m not afraid to play that (gritty) game at all, and sometimes it’s going to be your turn to answer the bell and get in there to stick up for your teammates. It’s important to have a team that’s not going to get pushed around, and when you come into other teams’ rinks they know it’s going to be a tough game. It’s been great living with Cowick. I love the house. It’s an old house right in Binghamton and we have a nice setup, with me upstairs and Cowick downstairs. We get along really well.
http://eyeonthesens.com/

Some good things stated by Prince here. His willingness to play gritty and take on any role necessary is further indication that there is a good chance that Prince makes it to the NHL.

Noesen is just heating up. I expect Puempel go to ham as well when his other linemates help in the scoring department.
