Latta scores!

Needs an assist for the Gordie Howe hatrick.

Admirals lose 2-1. Looks like one Pickard will be an NHL goalie. Calvin is really impressive. 42 saves.

Haven’t the Admirals been victimized enough by the Pickard family? Now they lose because brother Calvin was in goal for the opposition? I hate Chet and his entire family, lol!

Admirals win at Peoria 3-0. Jeremy Smith was in goal, stopping all 34 shots. Mike Moore scored the winning goal.

Anthony Bitetto is playing at forward today for some reason, just got his clock cleaned by Grand Rapids toughguy Brennan Evans

That is at least the second game this season where he played forward. Last time, the Ads were short a forward due to injury. They had 9 D-men to start the season, although Ellis still has a broken hand/wrist. Foss had leg surgery, so Milwaukee has 7 d-men who can play. Maybe the coach is trying to keep him sharp by playing. Anthony joked on the radio that he was going to play in goal soon.

Evans is 6'4" and 230 lbs, the biggest guy on GR; Anthony is 6'2" and 205 lbs.

What happened to Patty Cehlin? Aaron said he was an injury scratch?

Ads leading 4-2 at the end of the first period.

Goals from Henderson, Beck, Cehlin, and Valentine.

Hellberg is in net.

After 3 goals? The last must have been ugly, or maybe he tweaked something.

Couple notes:
Beck with a 3pt night. 6 shots!
Cehlin with a 3pt night
Watson 2nd professional goal

I love lighting up Vancouver, even if it's their AHL affiliate.

Hellberg let in two awful goals.

Beck had by far his best night as a pro imo. Flying to everything, really aggressive but under control.

I could have stopped the first and third goals. Hellberg never closed his pads on the third one! The coach won the game by pulling Hellberg immediately after that third goal. In the two games won by Hellberg, Milwaukee scored 5 goals both times. They would have needed at least 5 to win tonight. Jeremy Smith came in and played like Patrick Roy.

Milwaukee showed a lot of team speed. The Chicago d-men, with the exception of Chris Tanev, looked like they had cement in their skates. The Admirals wingers literally skated past them and around them during the game. With a few lucky bounces, or a few less unlucky ones, the Admirals could have scored 10 in this game, instead of 7 against the division leading Wolves.

Sounds like Hellberg is having a rough start to his North American career. It's still early though.

$23

Leipsic looked great. He was aggressive crashing the net a lot. You would never guess that he is only 5'9. He also has surprisingly good puck handling skills. Finished the game with 1 goal 1 assist, but he was everywhere on the ice. Very impressed

I'm not seeing a lot of offense out our prospects.

Well, there is something to that. I don't think 'offense' is high on the priority list for the scouting staff. Traits like hockey iq, physicality, etc seem to ride shotgun come draft day. While offensive ability, pure skill, appears to take a back seat.

That being said there are some offensive gems if they develop correctly, and can translate their respective games to the NHL. Guys like Taylor Beck, Josh Shalla and Michael Latta who were scoring machines in the OHL could make a big impact on Nashville's roster. Aberg and Rask are interesting pieces aswell.

Watson, Cehlin, Salomaki, and Vesey could bring offense to. I really like Cehlin

Hell even Stepan could be a gem

Slowly the Milwaukee Admirals are climbing up the AHL charts. They are 10th in the west.

Now, what scares me? The fact the Springfield Falcons (CBJ) are 1st and if the season is washed out the Jackets have a chance to have 3 picks in the top 10.

(Det) Grand Rapids is still good, but not great.

(STL) Peoria Rivermen, dead last

(CHI) Rockford Icehogs. One position below the Ads.
