Problem is I was searching for one because I wanted one for a while. Do I sell it for profit or just consider myself lucky I got my card I was looking for so cheaply?

If you wanted to use one, then use it. I wanted a Duchene when the game came out, found a steal on one for 4.5k, and he's been my 1st line center and best player ever since.

I would keep it. I found a Patrick Kane for 20,000 once and flipped it but I have been looking for a reasonably priced card ever since.

Yup, keep him. I found a Spezza for 20k and sold him for 35k, but now I regret it as I can't find one for under 40k to use.
Well, I got my answer on Brodeur.
Played some random scrub who had maybe 10 NHLers on his team and dominated. Lost 7-5 while he floated 16 shots from random areas and won.
Just noticed that the SOTW Duchene on PS3 that's been changed to Florida has had 12 different owners, wow.
Stuff like that is common among SOTW players. People are always buying and selling them trying to make a large profit. Typically they can sell them for well over what they bought them for because of the rarity of those players.
I've said it before and I'll say it again, they need to get rid of that idiotic goalie side swipe. The AI is not smart enough to know when not to use it. Case in point:
Also, MAN am I glad I got my SOTW Zetterberg for 500k, saw one go for a million earlier. Judging by how rare he's been, and how there were no mega packs the whole time he was out in packs, he's going to be maybe the rarest card out there.
Hudler 400 BIN
Krejci 3100 BIN
Visnovsky 800 BIN
Penner 150 BIN

I'd say SOTW Ovi is still the rarest card but yeah, he's probably tied with SOTW Stamkos and SOTW Datsyuk for one of the rarest cards.
Wish I could find a steal on a SOTW card as I've yet to see a steal opportunity arise yet. Is their a strategy to finding a steal on a SOTW card or is it just luck? With normal cards you can do the one hour strategy but you'd be sitting there all day on the SOTW cards before one even popped up at the one hour mark, yet alone if it was a steal. I'm guessing most of the steals on SOTW cards are dumb luck from just happening to scroll through them at the right time, not sitting around waiting for one to pop up.
All of my SOTW steals were just dumb luck.
Chara-100k BIN (kept)
Weber-60k BIN (kept)
Suter-30k BIN (kept)
Peverley-4k bid (kept)
Toews-105k BIN (sold for 425k)
Karlsson-350k BIN (sold for 600k)
Zetterberg-500k TRADE (kept)
The only time I was actively sitting there looking for a SOTW was with Zetterberg, and I must've spent a total of 8 hours or so total over the course of a week, just sitting there refreshing, waiting for one to pop up. I got mine by sending a trade offer to a guy who had his up for 3days with no BIN, he said he wanted 500k for him and I jumped at it.
Actually, Karlsson, I was looking for specifically. I was refreshing for Zetterberg, but then every so often I'd search RD in the SOTWs, and bam there he was, had been up for a full minute, too, when I snatched him up.

And just 5 minutes ago I let a SOTW Okposso go that I probably should've bought. He had been up for 8 minutes at 28k so I went to see if there were any others up to compare prices and when I come back he's been bought. Wouldn't have made more than maybe 15k on him but I'm still kinda pissed that I didn't buy him right away.
Much like normal steals when I first started, I have no idea what the range of selling is on SOTWs, so I'm kind of at a loss when I see one. Never sure if he's worth more or less. Granted, that 105k Toews probably would have stuck out
got my SOTW Moulson for 40k... not a steal by any means but ill take it, especially considering they will sky rocket in a week or two
seriously you gotta get SOTWs early (but no when they still have the exciting new toy syndrome). once they are slowly taken off the market they skyrocket in price
I got my Benn for 70k, they now are on the market for like 130k+
Chara for less than 200k, I saw one with a bid for 300k last night
Peverley for 7k, now he is going for almost twice that
Also im still looking for SOTW Selanne if anyone has one... There are only a couple randomly available and when they are they are like 60k which is insane
Yeah I think I probably will go with Lehtonen since your the second or third post I've seen praising him in the last couple weeks. I like his size and quickness combo. Schneider's actually been really good for me with a .930 save percentage or something like that so I feel like I shouldn't spend 30k on goaltending. I only play online so thanks for the input.
Had about 3 week break on HUT but now im back.lineup:
GagneA-TavaresC-Williams
Heatley-Backstrom-Havlat
Glencross-Cammalleri-Stempniak
Korpikoski-Vermette-Vrbata
Visnovsky-Shattenkirk
Yandle-Boyle
MDZ-Girardi
Halak
Bernier
currently saving for Hall.im at 13k right now.just marked my 50th victory with 6-0 thrashing online.
If I buy a Clutterbuck for 23k SOTW or Varlamov for 25k. Is there any room for profit there?
I picked up a Getzlaf for 30k I'm hoping to make 6-8k profit off that. But I've used him 2 games, what a ****in beast
