Ovechkin will score less than 30 goals before JVR puts in 30.
A player from UK will score 3000+ points during his NHL career or Japan will win 4 consecutive golds in Olympics.

Japan wins 4 consecutive golds
A player hits 70+ goals or a player scores 160pts+

Ahahah I was asking myself what another person would answer to an awkward question like that.
A player hits 160 pts.
Komisarek scores three goals in one period or Mike Modano does a comeback and does a natural hat trick in his first game.

Wear cages.
50 goals in 50 games by Gomez or a 2 teams expansion in Antartica.

2 team expansion in Antartica
A woman plays in a regular season NHL game or Crosby ends his career with at least a 1.6PPG
Here are the top 5 just for fun lol
1. Wayne Gretzky* 1.921
2. Mario Lemieux* 1.883
3. Mike Bossy* 1.497
4. Sidney Crosby 1.403
5. Bobby Orr* 1.393

Crosby with 1,6 PPG.
Answer to this one : Malkin with have more points than Crosby every year until the end of his career or Markov won't miss a single game until his retirement.
Don't answer to this one (Or just for fun, it is another awkward one) : A goalie will score 3 goals in a game or there will be a japanese player in the Top3 scorer.

A woman plays in a regular season NHL game, just because I doubt Crosby will quite reach that level while a woman will eventually play in the NHL (not for a long time though).....
Leafs make the playoffs vs. Montreal make the playoffs vs. Calgary make the playoffs....

Malkin will have more points than Crosby (which is possible tbh)
And no way a goalie scores 3 goals in a game lol...I'll go with the Japanese player making the top 3

Easily habs making the playoffs, last year was an injury plagued season for them (2nd most man-games lost). They'll be back this year
An NHL with 10 Canadian teams or an NHL with olympic sized rinks

Olympic sized rink for sure. Would love to see both to be honest.
No more referees on ice( would be off ice and I don't know what else, future will do) or NHL hockey played on a different surface than ice.

Different surface(some kind of futuristic frictionless surface maybe?)
Next province to get a new team: Quebec or Ontario?

Bryzgalov. I doubt you will be allowed to amnesty an injured player.
Toronto making the playoffs or the next time Brian Boyle scores 20 goals in a season.

I'll say it goes back East for the next one.
Dominek Hasek, Chris Chelios, Mario Lemieux or Nick Lidstrom come out of retirement?

Hasek decided to try again
Gomez has 10 goals or Japanese players become the best in the world.

Easily Gomez hitting 10, didn't he hit 30 a few years ago?
St.Louis winning the cup next year or Detroit missing the playoffs the next 3 years

You obviously did not get the joke.
St Louis
Britan wins a gold in hockey or Japan wins a gold in hockey

Both could happen at a D level international tournament, I think Japan is more likely
Perry scores 50 goals or Getzlaf gets 65 assists

Getzlaf gets 65. Bit more plausible.
Mi. Granlund gets Calder or Brodin gets Norris before 2017?

I'd say Mikael Granlund gets the Calder first.
Ilya Bryzgalov wins 10 straight games with a GAA below 1.50 and a save percentage above .945
Or
Scott Gomez goes on a 15 game goal scoring streak

Hmm this is a tough one, had to do some research first to see how doable these are...
Longest goal scoring streak is currently at 16, Punch Broadbent in 1921-22
Couldnt find info on last time a goalie had a 10 game winning strek, but with the GAA and S% you gave, should be pretty hard to get...
I think ill still go with bryzgalov and his 10 wins
Henrik Sedin wins Art Ross
Or
Daniel Sedin wins art ross

Henrik, better track record for avoiding injury. As long as Duncan Keith's elbow is allowed in NHL arenas, Daniel will never be safe.
A Finnish player wins a major award, or a Slovak player wins a major award

Slovak. (Assuming the Norris is a major award)
NYI make the playoffs, or Detroit miss the playoffs.

NYI make the playoffs.
Matt Moulson has a 40 goal season VS. A rookie has a 90+ point season.
