Whoopsy daisies. Accidentally benched Ray Rice in favor of David Wilson. Lineup ended up not getting saved when I set it on Wednesday. Hope I don't lose by 18 points.
7 teams that are 6-3? This is gonna be an interesting rest of the season and sorry Im not on the boards much, school is my top priority. (It also helps that there is no NHL)
I put a claim in on Ramses Barden (NYG) and dropped Jon Baldwin, IIRC. Put a second claim in on Cecil Shorts for Baldwin just in case Barden got swooped up. Cecil ended up in the FA pool.. Really wish I would've hopped on him. He is the only receiver Jacksonville has. Damnit.
as a math major, I must point out to you that it is inaccurate to compare values from the imaginary set of numbers with those of the real numbers.....carry on.
OK Boats and Ho's.....you probably see now why it's not that great of an idea to have 3 players on your bench be RB's.
He's got a WR on a bye, two crappy TE's on the roster, and not a single player to fill those spots with since all of the bench players are RB's
Doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me, in a league where you can only play 2 RB's at a time.
Well have you looked at the list of available players? We are literally out of WR's and TE's that are anything more than desperation pickups. The well is bone dry!

Yep making a 16 team that has 3 WR spots and a flex spot that is mostly populated by WR's wasn't a great idea.
My suggestions for next year:
keep 3 WR and change to a true flex. 2 RB's and 4 WR's takes away balance.
If we insist on banning RB's from the flex change it to 2 starting wide receivers.

Definitely open to suggestions for next season.
And I'm not quite sure why we're so out of players, to be honest. I'm in another 16 team league with more roster spots and a bench of seven players and there are still decent players in free agency in that one. Wtf happened in this one?

There are 48 spots that HAVE to be filled by WR's. So that means just as a starting lineup we're through all the ones and half the 2's.
Throw in a flex that is pretty much exclusively WR's because with 16 starting TE's, there are not many 2 TE rosters (I may be one of the only ones)
Throw in guys holding on to bye week replacements... we're just starting too many WR's.
Also, this seems to be a fairly active group as a whole, so when talent comes available in free agency it's snatched up quickly.

If we do one 16 team league next year, my roster suggestion is as follows:
We really need to take some of the pressure off the WR spot. If you look at our trading block EVERYONE is looking for a WR. Eliminating one of the full time WR spots and opening up the flex to include all three should help out with that. The extra bench slot should really help when next years Bye Week of Death rolls around, and having an IR slot means we could take a flyer on someone who winds up on IR sometime next season and we would not have to risk a roster spot unless that player was eligible to come off.

Also, Looking for a RB.
My personal opinion is that the top 10 players from this year make the "A" league next year, and then a 8-10 team "B" league is made from the lower-ranked players and new guys we pick up next season. By then we're bound to get a few new regulars on the board.
That way, rankings on this season somewhat matter going forward. Top 10 players go in draft order from how they finished this season, and if any decide not to play, the six-lower ranked guys can step in on any lost spots. Champion of this year drafts #10 next season, #10 guy now drafts 1st overall next year.
The "B" league is random draft order.
Just my $.02, I don't want to be some fantasy football league tyrant leader. If that does not sound good to the crowd at large, then that can all be discarded and orders can be random again.

I like a 16 team league. And i think Avder's suggestion for new positions is ideal for that number. I also like the idea of adding an IR spot because injuries can be pretty decimating to rosters on 16 team leagues...
If we split into 2 leagues we should recruit 6 new players and go 12 teams in each league.
