Schneider's not going anywhere. Period. End of discussion. The fact this is even being taken seriously is obnoxious.

And yet somehow Gardiner is hailed as the untouchable savior of the Leafs' blueline for the next decade...or did you miss the 8 million Toronto threads here in the last 6 months?

And how many of us swore up and down Hodgeson was the future? While I do suspect Schneider is the long term plan. There is no reason we cannot speculate and you have no concrete evidence to say doing so is "obnoxious", a word that really cannot be applied in this context.

Hodgson was traded under much different circumstances as I am sure your well aware of and for that reason. He also just did not sign a big 12 million dollar contract. Also when schneider was chosen in the l.a. series to start, I felt lou himself was going to want to leave and want to start somewhere else, and along with the contract the canucks seem to have chosen schneider as well... yet their seems to be speculation its still up in the air from some fans on here.

Its pretty clear to me schneider is here for next few years if not more. Unless something extremely crazy happens. Its fine i guess to speculate on hfboards, but some fans seem to act like it may actually happen or hes on the market, when IMO their is as much chance of us trading burrows right now as trading schneider. You dont see many burrows trade threads on here though. Given the new contract and av's decision to start him, and with av back as our coach, at the moment I just dont see him even being in play.

Flame Away!
The difference between Reimer and Pavelec is definitely not a PPG forward... Heck, I don't even think there is a difference....

Leafs say no, quite easily as well

That is the most logical thing to do.
This makes a pile of sense. That is exactly what i think should happen...gives more time to determine if Cory can shoulder the role.

Schneider has the same value as Lundqvist did at his age. There on the same path. The Canucks aren't trading the future number one goalie of planet earth.

The only trade in that bunch I'd even see Vancouver considering is the Gardiner trade, even then, I still highly doubt they'd take it.

By the time Luongo was Cory's age now, Lu had 267 NHL games under his belt and would have way more if it wasn't for the lockout. Cory has 68...

Also I don't see how Vancouver could trade Price anyway.

It's the lockout, there is a negative 10% chance Cory is traded IMO.
