i don't really see it like a toronto person saying they won't watch horse racing.
This is more than watching something. It is giving your money over to Maple Leafs Sports and Entertainment.
At the same time it is hurting locally owned and run sports bars in ottawa.

Click around on their website. Click on every clickable link you can find there.
When they start putting senators logos up there, showing their support for our community and fans here i'll think about walking near their new bar.

Why would Sens fans use Rogers or Bell services?

Why would they send their kids to Ontario schools?

Why would they drink Molson products?

Do you support the evil Leafs and Habs?

Lets extend this further! **** Air Canada, I hate the Leafs and the ACC! The insecurity by you guys is pathetic. You give Sens fans a sad name.

They had them before they bought the Leafs.

This is a stupid question. Ontario schools don't own the Leafs.

They have no taste?

=Lets get real here guys.

Excess cash has never done anything to help the Toronto Maple Leafs. Spend on.

This right here - it seems the richer the Leafs get the less they care about making the playoffs.

thousands of Leafers have no problem driving to Ottawa and put a bunch of money into Melnyks pockets and the city. for a good game of hockey.
I live in Montreal I drink beer and i can only go to the Bell Centre to enjoy a good hockey game. so my money goes to the Molsons...

If I wanna go out to a bar, ill go to the one offering the best experience, i dont care who owns it. (assuming we're only talking hockey). if its awesome, its awesome.
i know there are some cool spots in Ottawa run by Sens fans, but i dont how bad it is to add a new cool place to hang out in the city.

. i dont really understand this mentality of hating the world over a bar owned by the owner of the leafs who are owned by the biggest companies in Canada..
Its hard to not support anything thats related to MLSE when you live here, except the Leafs of course.

Why do you keep bringing this garbage up?

There are 3 tv providers anywhere in Canada. There are 3 wireless providers in Canada. Bell and Rogers are 2 of those 3 and a lot of people invested in those services before they bought the Leafs.

Meanwhile there are hundreds of bars in Ottawa. You don't have any contractual obligations to go to a particular bar.

Bottom line is that no REAL Senators fan would go to the latest branch of the Leafs' evil empire.

Wowwww I have been watching this thread with growing amusement, but are you people serious??? NOT going to a sweet bar because of ownership?? ARE YOU KIDDING.

The bar sounds freaking unreal. Huge screen goodness? Yah maybe 2nd tier city Ottawa could learn a thing or two from Toronto. Say what you want about the Leafs and MLSE, but people in Toronto know how to put on a show. It's ABOUT TIME a place like Ottawa finally goes big time in the bar scene. Might liven up the rest of the dives in the market you guys are so keen to attend instead.

If Ottawa is gonna come even close to sniffing Toronto's shadow from an entertainment and sports perspective, this kind of thing is the way to go. Get used to it.

As to the comments about using Bell and Rogers services. THAT IS 150% VALID. You gonna boycott one thing associated with MLSE, you gotta boycott them all.

If Tucker opened up shop in Ottawa he'd be stupid. If it was in Toronto and I was going there with people, I wouldn't be the ass hole saying he can't go in because he's a Sens fan.

I doubt you'll see either of those guys just like you're unlikely to see them in any bar in the market. Could I see the younger guys ending up there at some point? Probably. But it won't be like with the Leafs where they are probably encouraged to go.

Who cares, really. It's a bar, and we already know the cash doesn't help TML.

So if Rogers and/or Bell refused to do business with a certain ethnic group, you would continue doing business with them because they didn't have racist policies when you first started giving them your money?
