Getting over hockey withdrawl

No hockey is killing me, what have people been doing to get over the lockout? Sub for another sport? Junior hockey? Games like this have helped keep me sane :

Having Netflix helps, and gamers have NHL 13 to keep them busy so lots of ways to keep busy

I agree.

Football is pretty good on Sundays, I'm really starting to enjoy watching NFL for the first time. It still doesn't cut it though. I won't watch basketball and I'm not interested in any college ball. Minor league games are meh.

I just watch my Oilers back. Even if we lose every game, I just want to watch some ****ing hockey already. Especially on Saturday nights, that's like a tradition in my household.

Anyone suffering from "withdrawal" after a month of a lockout needs to consider toughening up.

Besides, there is lots of hockey out there. Go support something local rather than suffering a bunch of greedy ******.

I've been watching the NBA and NFL a lot more than I did last year and I've also been watching the AHL.

Doing absolutely fine playing in my recreational Dek hockey league, playing the sport is even more fun than watching it.

I came down to old Mexico. Seemed like a good idea at the time...now I wonder if I wouldn´t rather have hockey games...

Meh. Having both would be ideal.

What about those that live abroad and have nothing of note near them?

Ditto for me. NFL and like 10 fantasy leagues keep me occupied. Once the season ends I will be super bored though!

College basketball is back, so I've got that. It's no hockey, not even close, but it's something to watch. The time between the World Series and now has been pretty dreadful.

Well, if you're a hockey fan, there's no reason you should be going through a withdrawal, as there's plenty of hockey, as always. But if you don't like hockey in general, but only the NHL, then I can see how this is a bad situation for you.

Ding. Between volunteering, tutoring, others shows on TV (TWD and TAR specifically, lol) and 6 courses at University...hockey's been on the back burner for me.

...although this past week or so, I've been starting to think about hockey again.

If you live in the US, like fans of 23 of the teams, there really isn't.
