One of them is enough. Farnham barely scored 20 goals in 130 games at the NCAA level, I'm guessing his 3 goals with Wheeling were more a fluke than anything else. That coupled with Farnham's propensity for penalties, taking a goalie interference in a tied game in the 3rd in his 1st game and taking another penalty down by 1 with a 1:18 left in the last game won't do them much good offensively. Better question is what Farnham was even doing out on the ice with a minute left down by one. I know he had an assist on their only goal but I'd say it's more about Hynes being cut from the same cloth as Byslma. I'm not going to be surprised when Farnham starts getting some pp run.

Ugh, I'm tired of talking about Farnham already. This type of player is always so popular in minor league hockey even though all the penalties they take end up hurting the team as much as their enegery on the ice is supposed to be helping them.

You play those two guys and you're likely having a 4th line that will be chasing the puck every time they're out on the ice.

I hope Uher plays today. He's the good version of Farnham. Draws penalties while playing the agitating style without taking a bunch of them.

Hey, I'm not condemning Farnham and the way he plays. If he show a bit more discipline he can be guy worth having around and playing regularly. Players with his play-style are fun to watch but having seen enough minor league hockey, the Farnham type of player will always be disproportionately popular for what he brings to the team. I'd say it's partially because this type of player is in it the long-run with his minor league team, with not a lot of chances for a NHL career and thus gains a sense of continuity with the fans and town and partially because it's fun to watch guys go all-out and play hard. I'd bet if I did a run-down of each AHL/ECHL/CHL (Central Hockey League) franchise, the 3 most popular players in their histories would be made up of 2 extreme agitators for every sincerely good player. That's not a knock on the player or the fan but just is how it is.

It's great when he runs the goalie and starts **** with the other team, but more often than not, especially as these types of players gain notoriety in the league, that type of play will start resulting in penalties to just Farnham and similar situation where coincidental minors would be handed out will end up just being penalties to agitator. Just look at how Matt Cooke has been ref'd since his change of style. He had a ton of phantom penalties for being Matt Cooke and being around a scrum.

Thiessen getting the start against the highest scoring team in the AHL, could be ugly.

Kuhn not playing

Is this Portland, Maine or Portland, Oregon?

Or a different one?

Maine, feels like they switch NHL affiliations every couple years.

I know what the CHL is, but those guys bring fans to the games. Minor league teams need fans.

Hopefully we'll be seeing passes like that to 87 in a year or two.
