He had 40 points in 55 games last year, and I believe I read that he played mostly a shut down role.
I know nothing about Cape Breton, but would a ppg be a reasonable expectation?
Would be nice to see him play with Will Carrier, however their number 1 center position seems to be locked down. They are a pretty weak team and management is poor, but I would see him as the second line center with over a PPG. This might be the opportunity he needed to play an offensive role.
People were (rightfully) ****ing all over Culek during the last two seasons. I thought he'd be forgotten by this point, and he has done nothing to redeem himself. I enjoy how he is suddenly a shut down player who is worthy of discussion. The guy sucks; forget about him.

Did you not watch the WJC's? The guy is a legit shutdown winger. Not all prospects have top-6 potential.

Not sure if anyone's been talking about this already, but the Basterd of Winterfell has been playing in the Junior A World Challenge this past week in Nova Scotia (Team USA)
After three games, he's the only forward on the team that hasn't registered a point yet.

still in a way this is swedens "B" team because they dont have guys like claesson, zibanejad, larsson(if there is still a lockout), lando (same as larsson), lindholm, forsberg, Dansk and Bystrom all of them are most likely to make the team if they are available

The above are too old.
But yes it's neither team top team. But Russia's entire "A" team is in North America.

Byström was available here. Claesson, Larsson, Landeskog not available for WJC. Lindholm, Brodin and Klefbom would be the three best D but it doesn't look like Brodin is gonna get healthy in time.
Wikstrand has had a pretty strong tournament and been good on the power play, he's pretty much locked a spot.
Played Pipes for the opening ceremonies for the Kitchener game tonight.
Met Matt Puempel right before as I got lost in the arena. Outstanding guy.
He responds with 1g tonight.
Good puck movement, made good plays in his own zone, when he got in the circle with the puck he either got it at the net or back to the point. Some second guessing along the boards with his linemates but the line kept the D busy quite consistently.
