great hire for the sox. This guy has a lot of experience managing 75 win teams
Farrell is a great manager, and he'll be perfect in Boston. the Blue Jays had soo many injuries both to their pitching staff and star players (Bautista, Lawrie Morrow) and underwhelming years from supposedly consistent guys, its tough to put the season on him. He's perfect with the media, and is going to a team that not only knows and respects him, but also has solid leaders in the clubhouse (unlike the Jays). i think he's gonna lead a resurgence in Boston and the Jays are gonna regret this transaction. They only got Aviles (i assume) so he can replace Johnson at 2nd or Escobar at SS.
Farrell was terrible when it came to bullpen management. Either pulling the starters too soon or too late and replacing them with a reliever who doesn't match up well against the batter.
Plus, as a former pitching coach, you would think he could do something about Romero's sudden crappiness.

I hope nobody is surprised that Ozzie got sent to the curb hahaha
I still cant get over why he thought it was good to praise Castro, yet alone in Miami hahahahaha
They take that **** real seriously, my dad's friend is from cuba and said he would of killed him if he heard him say that and didnt care how long the jail term was...
I don't think Valentine realizes that no one cares. Red Sox fans don't, Yankee fans don't, Mets fans don't, etc. I think he made the playoffs twice in his 16 seasons as a coach. Good luck finding a job while bad mouthing your last employer, clown.
Pretty cool that both Posey and Cabrera came up huge for their respective teams. The Giants won it in grand style. Great stuff from their closer, striking out the side to seal it.
However, the aggregate data during the LDS era suggests the growing conventional emphasis on manufacturing runs in October is greatly exaggerated. Since 1995, 35.5% of runs during the regular season have come via the long ball, compared to 39.1% in the postseason.
Additionally, the Yankees were a top ten team in EVERY major offensive statistic last season, so to suggest that they could only score via the home run is ludicrous.
Wonder if him and Kovy living in Alpine has anything to do with that
There was this one below from a couple years ago too at a Knicks game and one I couldn't find from a couple months ago when he was at his locker after a game and the hat was on his locker shelf
huge, HUGE get for the Jays. makes the rotation passable, and nabs a fantastic shortstop for basically Alvarez and Hechy and a prospect i've never heard of

makes me proud to be a Jays fan. now hopefully we get a good veteran manager that can keep track of the young guys and some of the injury bug that got us last year wont be so bad. also would be great to add another mid rotation arm like Marcum or Guthrie
