They better. The only redeeming quality about starting Joseph is that he has two legs and a reputation as a decent runner. He has to use his legs to win or I don't think he'll be in the game past the first quarter.

The Toronto sports media is still crowing that this victory is assured. I have massive doubts about tomorrow with Joseph starting (and Sherritt potentially sitting) but it would be so bloody nice to beat these guys tomorrow.

If the Esks win then the T.O. media can all go back to not caring about the CFL instead of pretending that they have an elite football team.

Joseph was terrible his last couple starts and I really wanted Nichols to start but if Joseph can play like he was playing earlier when we were winning, and if our D can step up and slow down Ricky ray who has been great his last couple starts, then we could have an exciting game and every possibly win

Also the coach must use our RB effectively whoever they may be Boyd or Charles we need great games from our RB

I'm so happy hearing that Sherritt might not play, and Joesph starting. As an Argo fan the Eskimos game plan has to be running almost every possessions. Our run D sucks, while our Secondary is great. If Joseph dares to throw deep there is a good chance there will be interceptions. I see either a 32-6 Argos win or a 19-17 Eskimos win. If Toronto wins I have a feeling it's going to be in blowout fashion, while if Edm wins I see it being because of great D and big plays from Boyd or Charles which they are completely capable of doing.

Just confirmed that Sherritt is out for this one. Damn! Simoni had better do more on the field than the trash talking he's known for.

Gotta say it. What a patently stupid move by the org. We have Sherrit out all day in the game against Calgary strictly looking for him to break the record, he gets injured very late in that game, and we lose a key player for a much larger playoff matchup.

This is the kind of boneheaded management you prefer to see in your opponent.

Individual accolade should never take precedent over team benefit. But in this case it did.

This is of course a big loss to overcome. Yikes.

Well I'm still hoping. We need Howard to be Howard today and play the full minutes. Not sure if he's ready for that. But what silliness to play Sherrit a whole game when he's been struggling and limping and favoring a knee.

The reality is in the last 8 games or so both QB's have played a couple good games. Ray just happens to have had those in his last 2 games and against inferior opposition to what the Esks were facing.

If the Esks can just stymie the Argos at the start and make Ray wonder, and get heat on him, then Ray starts playing in your hands.

a lot of "if's" needed reading these posts fo rthe eks to win.
I have a feeling that the esks will be outcoached and outplayed at the most important position. Kavis this years hasn't given us any reason to trust his decision making.
everyone here keeps saying toronto isn't a very good team, but neither are the esks, to be honest.
i hope the esks win, but I can't see it. argos by at least 10.

I said this as well, at the time. Guys should have been rested instead of the individual stuff. And you could tell they were all over it, as the Stampeder RB went 10 yards into field goal range before Sherritt could finally bring him down with his record breaking tackle. And they all went crazy with glee, as Calgary trotted out the field goal team and promptly kicked the winner. Something is wrong there.

Congrats to Sherritt on the record. Now you can sit and rest your injured parts while the rest of the team soldiers on, handicapped by your absence in the biggest game of the year.

You should have taken an over/under on the number of pre-snap penalties we take today.

Great start!

We're actually running the ball! That first drive was like an early Christmas present.
